Stinky tofu and cabbage curry.
If you couldn't discriminate you would have to let to the first person who asked, regardless of ability to pay, history of damage to property, etc.
Perfectly legal discrimination
I can understand no smoking as it leaves a smell and can cause damage to a property. But eating meat causes no damage to the property so Im struggling to see the logic. It seems the owner has an issue with meat eaters and only wants to rent to like minded people which surely is discrimination.
I wonder will they look for proof that prospective tenants are veggies 😂😂.
No more discriminatory than saying no smoking or vaping.
Unless you actively dislike vegans, this shouldn’t be a problem for anyone IMO
Surely the ad stating that they only want vegetarians or vegans is discriminatory. I thought you cant discriminate against people when renting property.
Im puzzled why they have a problem renting to a meat eater when they are living in a separate property - its not like they are going to be looking at or smelling someone cooking meat!
They’re hardly nut cases to be fair. It’s a nice place to rent for a vegan/vegetarian. That’s all. I think anyone who’d spend six months pretending to be a veggie so they can a fry down the line is the weirdo in this scenario
Their ad is pretty up front and honest (even calling the wetlook “tiny”) so fair play to them for that
It would be ideal for a person from the middle ages tbf, as long as their dog wasn't too big.
..
Imagine moving in and going through the whole process which I imagine it would be and the whole time pretending you don't eat meat. And cooking a fry some evening. I wonder would they get vocal or come up to you saying we don't agree with that.
They sound like a complete nut case, tbh.
The apartment of Negative Craic that place..
The property is strictly no smoking, no vaping and no meat consumption.
The price is inclusive of electricity. There is no internet at the property.
Maybe not a kip. Just a very ugly house with and a deathtrap with unprotected drops like the one in the kitchen.
The entrance makes it look like you are walking into a prison cell. The interior doesn't do much to change that impression.
This has been on here loads of times already.
And while it would be to my taste, I wouldn't exactly call it a kip....
That was posted already.
Jesus, I feel like having a shower after looking at those photos.
Feast your eyes on this kip.
"A small, house trained dog may be accepted"
Not sure a dog can survive on a vegan diet.
Rent it for six months and you have an unlimited tenancy. Then a fry every Saturday morning and a slow cooker to cook dinner every day.
Nice place to rent, just don't bring home the bacon.

WOW!! That is amazing and fair play to him but it would drive me mad ,confuse me and give me a headache!!
Speechless...
I would be more worried about the polystyrene tiles on the ceiling, they were banned after the Stardust disaster.
We rented a house for college that had a very similar "feature" in the shared bedroom.
They could have at least tried to photoshop out the p!ss stain on the carpet
This brings a whole new meaning to "Water Closet".
Or probably the original meaning.
There certainly is.
But as a private residence, let the public in a few days a year, and you've an asset exempt from CAT...
With the condition of the ruin probably not too many. Nobody is going to restore that to original condition. You probably will not be allowed to change external front face too much. The roof will probably have to be natural slate. So probably not too onerous
If somebody went about it they could probably see the plans on Cork co council.
Look a bit expensive. Not sure what an unrestricted ( as is anyone can build) site price is down in west Cork. 100k? With a view like that. 16 acres is probably worth 12-15/ acre 200-250k. The view would add a bit but 380-400 tops
Jeepers - €550k before you ever lift a stone!
I wonder what restrictions would be put on the restoration? They don't say it's listed, but "considerable architectural and historical character" would make me nervous.....
All that land though and that view !
