Meath seems to flying! Wishing you all the best with the interview
You'd wonder have they one eye on global situation and the ever increasing talk of a possibility of a global recession hitting again. Maybe they don't want to be hiring too many *just in case * 🤔
Hi, I’m in Kildare. I got a message on my PAS account on Monday just confirming my position and that HR will be in contact soon. My vetting was completed on the 16th September. I think my references are only just after being checked there was a delay with getting one. The wait is awful!
Has anyone heard from Westmeath recently?
Hi, I got word on Monday I have an interview on the 20th October, I am in the mid 160's on the panel
Amclol75 best of luck in your interview hope it goes well
hi all
I started in revenue recently. I seem to be on less money than when I was a TCO in the previous 2 years in DSP.
Looking at my payslip it looks like I am back at grade one..Does anyone know how I can go about this.. Do I mail the DSP to send a confirmation of the pay grade i was on at the end of my TCO contract. I don know i did go up a few paygrades during my time in DSP but dont know what grade I was at when I finished.
Any help much appreciated
Melissa more or less
I got my assignment notice on the 1st Sept and still waiting to hear from HR. It's beyond a slow process, I'm just grateful to have an understanding employer as they are stuck in limbo with me unable to fill my position when I have no finish date.
@bradley linemihler I’d contact HR. They usually ask for previous dates you’ve worked in the CS before and ask what point of the scale you are on with any contract. Wishing you the very best in your new position
You need to contact HR and they will raise a case with Peoplepoint to get your previous service added to your record. You may be in for a bit of a wait though, it took them over 4 months to adjust mine and I hear they are seriously backlogged at the moment.
Snap, I am 165 Westmeath, have interview on the 20th Oct also!
That's great, best of luck with it
@ciara_mar Mine was done the other way round. I cant understand whats going on.
@superconfused.com I love your handle "Superconfused" I wish i had taken that as my username. Let me know when you hear and I'll reciprocate. Tnx :)
Hi All,
I was reading another thread on the civil service and seen some people in the DFA were working aboard, Is this ever possible clerical officer level? Still deciding on the position due to large paycut but this sounds very interesting.
Also reading promotions in the civil service come down to luck and not performance is this correct?
Thanks.
Best of luck to you too amclol75!
Promotions don't come down to luck, its a near exact replica exercise to what you have done for CO and I wouldn't say you were lucky but it was based on perfromance.
Working aborad is possible for COs but I know people waiting for years for the chance before they got going so don't bank on it, more than likely its the passport office unless you've been told otherwise
thanks so much !
got interview results from interview aprox 3 weeks ago. no new OOMs formed keeping your original OOM after assessment.. never heard of this before? this was for Kilkenny
Can anyone tell me what the management support department does in a bit more detail than support management lol!?
@Amsat, my OOM didn't change after my interview either.
@RC78 - very strange never saw it done like this before.
Would anyone have any info on the clerical officer role in the LGMA on Usher's Quay? What is it like to work there? How many days a week are you in the office? This type of job will be completely new to me but I think I may apply. Currently unemployed after being made redundant so want to get back out there. TIA.
Hi, I just got a message today to say I passed my interview, interview was 2 weeks ago. I applied for louth area. I am just wondering how long were people waiting from notification of passing interview to hearing back re. Vetting or reference checks?
I am currently employed in another civil service role.. I haven't given any notice of plan to leave yet. I imagine I will be waiting a good while still...
Has anyone started in the NSSO Dublin got an offer recently and wondering what it was like…?
Has anyone started in the NSSO Dublin.. got an offer recently and am wondering what it is like ie working from home 😃
For me it was about 3 weeks from result of interview to employment checks 👍
My interview was May, invitation to clearance 1st week July, just got start date today. My vetting took ages though.
Had interview first week of August, results a week later to say I passed and haven't heard anything since. Although they do say passing interview is no guarantee of offer of a place......just depends if they reach your oom
