Today was Putin's "Shock and Awe". And it was shocking.
They will probably just sit them at the border so Ukraine will have to divert forces to watch them.
Yes, what's fascinating about the Skabayeva clip is that she openly admits civilian targets were hit and even shows a lot of footage of burning buildings and cars from Kyiv city centre. Did anyone in Russia ever even believe in the 'precision strikes' idea?
Are Russians the biggest joke on the planet right now? More so even than Rocketman's country. He's only messing up his won country so far. The nation that gave us Tchaikovsky, Tolstoy and Nureyev have been reduced to a Nation of 🤡s.
Some job Pulter... Some job!
The Polish Foreign Ministry advises its citizens to leave Belarus
Timely.
It's an unequal battle. Russia's industry, economy & society will be crushed and/or their military will be crushed one way or another. The administration made a fatal error back in February and they are in a lose/lose situation either way. The only real question is who else they drag down.
Excellent post.
Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said Belarus and Russia will deploy a joint military task force in response to what he called an aggravation of tension on the country's western borders, the state-run Belta news agency reported on Monday.
The Ukraine needs to avoid being sidetracked from its primary objective; continuing with the very successful counteroffensive. what Russia is doing, or planning to do, the best way to deal with that is to keep driving Russin troops backwards. Putin can lob all the missiles he likes into Ukraine but will still not win the war. I have a feeling President Joe is right now talking with his advisers about what the US can do to give Putin another nosebleed.
Putin is aligning with all of that Russian literature. They all have tragic endings.
These missiles are for military targets, but Putin cannot find them.
"Up to now, definitiely. Post-Afghan withdrawal I don't think anyone, but more importantly Putin, thought the West would show such solidarity and dollars to Ukraine."
In hindsight, pretty sure this is the reason the US pulled out of Afghanistan so quickly... they knew Putin was going to 'throw the head' and invade Ukraine... Coincidence? I think not.
exactly ,and here is the result of russias strategic bombings of military targets, they must have the upper hand now.

Post-Afghan withdrawal I don't think anyone, but more importantly Putin, thought the West would show such solidarity and dollars to Ukraine.
If Putin genuinely thought that, he really is not the 5D chess master some people thought of him as. It's an amazingly dumb assumption.
The American people were/are tired of endless troop deployments to far away countries. It was a big part of Obama's platform, and even Trump said it, that they were going to scale down or end the Afghanistan/Iraq campaigns and bring the boys home. In the Ukrainian conflict, there isn't a single American troop on Ukrainian soil (that we know of. Not counting mercenaries fighting in Ukraine's foreign battalions), but through military aid to Ukraine the US still gets to promote its interests. Win-win.
The US has been training and arming the UAF for 8 years since Maidan and Putin just thought they'd end that support at the first sign of trouble? What would have been the point, then? Back to president school for Mr. Putin, I think...
I don't think any of that is true ,
They fired over 100 missles and drones and very few of them were intercepted most did hit something, might not have hit any of strategic interest but they hit something
Its still ongoing,i think its probably around 150 missiles so far i think i seen reported somewhere.
Dont know how many is shot down, but its very hard to defend against saturation attacks, espesially with no proper air defences
It really is concerning to watch when someone’s mind become detached from reality
In half a day, the Rashists fired missiles at Ukraine for $400-700 million.
This amount is approximate, because the exact number of missiles of each type is unknown. According to the General Staff, on October 10, Russia fired 84 missiles at Ukraine, 43 of which were shot down by air defense forces.
At these costings by the Ukrainians, and if 150 is true, then todays effort cost $1.25 Billion for no military gain.
Financial collapse by 2023.
A better look at the damage to the rail lines over the kirsch bridge,
No creaters to suggest a bomb under the train
I think the bomb/missile went off beside the railway tracks, and ignited the fuel cars by accident
I think it was the car lanes that was the main target
Anyway those tracks will have to be replaced, that will take some time
About as meaningful as "thoughts and prayers". Give them whatever defence is available against such attacks
Its not hard to see what Russia is planning for Ukraine and Europe
They know the winter is coming soon, but forget that Russia is also depending on money to surivive and winter uniforms for their soldiers
The real reason for the invasion was a sense of innate pan Slavic russo nationalism with the inability of the Russian kleptocracy to accept that an example of a nation throwing aside their kleptocratic origins may emerge next door and potentially open eyes of some of their own population that a country does not need to be run for the benefit of the few. But yes @[Deleted User] ”nazis” “nato” “terrorist” “magic beans”
I have long had the feeling that if Belarus enter the war, Poland would be directly after them.
It's hard to say. Poland is itching to give the Russians a bloody nose, but its probably well advised by her NATO allies not to get directly invovled.
You'd wonder though, if Belarus crossed the border, would they do something about that. Although I think Belarus has a protection treaty with Russia. NATO might not Poland to get into a direct military confrontation with Belarus which would lead to fighting with Russia.
Poland have been gagging for it. A 1000km border with Belarus and Russo-Ukraine is not in their interests and would be very very costly to man in the long run. More costly than a war.
Definitely feels like it’s edging closer to a huge escalation.
They don't seem to either know or care that they are calling for war crimes. Deliberately creating a refugee crisis would 100% be considered a serious war crime under all international laws (deliberate targeting or terrorising of civilians).
Putin has a little bit of the Raskolnikov
An impoverished student with a conflicted idea of himself, Raskolnikov (Rodya as his mother calls him) decides to kill a corrupt pawnbroker, Alyona Ivanovna, with whom he has been dealing, with the idea of using the money to start his life all over, and to help those who are in need of it. It is later revealed that he also commits the murder as justification for his pride, as he wants to prove that he is "exceptional" in the way Napoleon was. He commits the murder, but is so nervous during the crime that he makes a few mistakes, and is afraid that he will be caught.
in that Raskolnikovs version of himself was an invention of his imagination which he tried to pass off as his real self. Razumikhin bought the story he was selling and thought the best of him, much like the gullible fools here.
Unlike the novel however, with Putin I doubt there will be any redemption arc, and I doubt there is any anguish relating to his choices
Appears to be no road traffic moving when the camera pans down despite Russia claiming it was back open, either limited traffic or there were a few driven across for the propaganda videos.
