Its got absolutely nothing to do with the US nor France, since its Ukraine that have the last word and makes the decisions.
The people of Ukraine makes the decisions, not US,this isnt Russia,Remember
You can't fight a war worrying about what the enemy will do in response. That kind of thinking would paralyze your efforts. Escalate, escalate, escalate. Win, win, win. Better to die free than submit to the orks.
Finnish EOD expert discusses the Kirsch bridge explosion,
Some interesting points about the explosion and subsequent fires ,@Manic Moran I believe you noticed noticed something about the fires
Points more to genetic and social differences between northern Europeans/Anglos and Russians/Slavs. The latter tend to turn into fat bastards in later life
Something that I have observed is that a lot of Russian Generals seem to be in really bad physical shape:
In comparison a lot of the retired NATO generals who now pop up to give their thoughts on TV stations are still in great nick:
I think it points to a lack of discipline. In the Russian army the goal is to climb high enough so that you can literally get fat and enjoy the spoils of corruption. In NATO you need to be ready at all time and lead by example - something that is sticking with these men even into their retirement.
Whatever way you want to look at it, the bridge attack is clearly an own goal by Zelensky. Biden is mentioning “off-ramps” for Putin much like Macron at the beginning of the war. Who knows what kind of deal will be done between the US and Russia in the end. If this “special operation” isn’t the cakewalk Putin thought it would be he’s learning the first half of Kissinger’s lesson “To be an enemy of the U.S. is dangerous…”. However when the realpolitik kicks in Zelensky could well be taught the second half : “… but to be a friend is fatal.”.
Zelenskyy has a mansion - kill the children.
Some of them are already fighting for Ukraine. If any of the rest of them enter Ukraine America/NATO should destroy them. Anyone thinks they can fight a war without escalation is fooling themselves.
About time:-
Yes, it reminds me of the way that Javelin missiles create an arc-like trajectory for themselves so that they hit the target more vertically than horizontally.
It looks like it may have been a Kalibir:
You can fight an invading army without bombing the civilians in the other country
When your biggest assets are that you have the unwavering support of the most advanced military in the world, and global support politically and economically, you gain nothing by committing war crimes.
It is not Ukraine who have a hand tied behind their back, it's Russia, they can't import parts for their weapons due to the sanctions, nor can they export their oil or gas at the market rate, they are getting little if any military aid from abroad. They are being hampered massively because they are the aggressors, and they are war criminals, and because of these facts, those sanctions will not be lifted for a long time to come. Even a victory in this war against Ukraine, for Russia would be at the cost of the economic future for the entire Russian federation
I think the only thing "Punch and Judy" about Zelenskyy is the universal chorus of "That's the way to do it!" in reaction to his on-point actions and responses to constant Russian threats, crimes, provocations and atrocities.
The change in direction in the end is crazy, slows and then dive bombs
Them russians are doing an awful lot with computer chips reclaimed from washing machines
This is some footage!
Yeah it appears to be that one.
Must be the day that's in it, few extra obvious Russian supporter's here it seems, also must be the same for Twitter with "ZelenskyWarCriminal" as the trending hashtag on Twitter.
That link (thankfully) doesn't appear to be working. However if it's the video of bodies being thrown into a pit then that was taken from a Russian soldier's phone, showing Russian soldiers disposing of civilians that they had murdered.
So basically Russians projecting as usual.
they hit at least one Thermal Power plant in Kiev today
Amazing he hasn't visited the front line yet.
Yeah no .....
Lushashenko on the west and Poland
I think it's clear from the beginning the Russian attitude was: we take your country or we destroy it.
For a while that aim may have been scaled down to: we take part of your country and/or destroy it.
Now, when it looks like they can't even manage that, they seem to be pivoting to: okay, let's just destroy it.
Yes, it's a sign of desperation, but for those of us who actually want to see this war end, it's very hard to see an end point short of a coup to oust Putin and replace him with someone better. Russia doesn't need much territory to make life hell for a lot of the country, as today shows again. Ukraine can keep grinding out victories on the battlefield, but there's no reason Russia can't maintain this awful terror campaign for many months to come. If it didn't have nukes the West would go in and pulverise it, but with that threat we are still holding back....
Graphic footage but found this material on vk. This person claims this particular atrocitie was carried out by Azov members in Kupyansk.

But the Russkis don't seem to have hit any key infrastructure in Kyiv - they appear to have fired a few random cruise missiles into the city centre. One hit a busy traffic intersection, another hit a passenger bridge, another exploded near a university. It seems to have been a purely PR stunt / terrorist attack.
Since the middle of April there have been predictions here that Russia will run out of ammunition in 2-3 weeks. We're in mid October now....
I'd say: as long as they keep firing, assume they've more in reserve
Comedians can have a very astute grasp of social and philosophical issues. Comedy is the curve ball of truth-telling.
That's a position often spouted by the US, however, it is not the position under international law.
The question of weather a state can act in self defense against an attack on it's embassy is actually unanswered in international law.
The quoted text from Wikipedia stems from the US's own loose interpretations of UN General Assembly Resolution 3314 and the United States of America vs Islamic Republic of Iran [1980] ICJ1 International Court of Justice case.
There was an excellent article in recent years published regarding this in the European Journal of International Law, I'll see if I can find a copy.
Could well be - although it coincides with the new leader of the war SMO being appointed - the same man who oversaw Russia's bomb them into the stone age policy in Syria
This has echoes of the Shock and Awe policy in Iraq - destroy the infrastructure from afar and then move in to mop up. Except of course theyve already "gone in" and it didnt go so well for them. New russian leadership trying to start the invasion from scratch?
After Bucha, Irpin, Severodonetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia et al, you only think now that Russia wants to destroy Ukraine as a nation?
On that this popped up , expect fake news claims
