The US pressured Merkel and Sarkozy from objecting to the enlargement of NATO.

Looks a massive explosion. Wonder was it a truck full of explosives or what. Some report has said missiles were seen if it was they must have something new.

The only way to deal with a bully is to punch him in the mouth. He's a coward at the end of the day.
That's all fine but the coward still has a few big bombs that he can use. Taunting him achieves nothing for Ukraine.
Besides the bridge being a legitimate target, bombing it achieves plenty. It was a major personal project of putrids that he and his state couldn't protect. As a so called strongman this makes him appear weak, particularly when he's engaged in a fight against a perceived "lesser" in Ukraine. That allows others opportunity, things going so badly will only be tolerated for so long. There's no upside for russia in using nuclear weapons.
I was referring to what Zelensky said after the blast. Usually he doesn't comment about successful attacks especially in Crimea straight away. He did today

All of us adults can make a significant contribution to reducing the effect of energy shortages. at least 5% is not asking a lot. Ovens, hobs, electric kettle s , driers, washing machines, electric heaters and suchlike consume a lot of electricity when used. So maybe use them less eg use washing machine less frequently. If you want to make two cups of tea then just put two. Cups of water into the kettle. If one has a wood stove, use it a little more frequently. Close blinds / curtains in the evening to Better retain heat in house. , turn lath and venitian blinds so that the laths slant outwards and this will help reflect the heat back in. The slower you drive - up to a point- the more miles you get per litre of fuel . If you normally drive at 120 Km /hr, reduce speed to 100 km /hr and you will notice a significant difference. Re clothes , wear a thermal vest instead of an ordinary vest

This war has gone on way too long due to incompetent leadership. Biden is past it and is so gaff prone it’s embarrassing. Putin doesn’t care about how many troops he throws to the grinder or how much destruction he does in Ukraine. There was supposedly a deal on the table to return to pre war lines but zelensky was told by the Americans to reject it.

It's entirely Putin's choice whether this war continues or not. We can't fight him directly because that will result in WW3, we can't hand him chunks of European land because that will just encourage him further. Our hands are tied here unless you have some alternative solution?
Putin was 100% wrong to invade but where are the talks to end it? The Americans are already deploying more sophisticated nuclear weapon capable delivery systems to Europe.
The russians lost 10,000 troops last week. It'll end when the russian public start to cop on that this won't end and their only hope is to withdraw troops now before the civil war starts and 100's of thousands are lost in russia in the ensuing battles between the russian states.
