Large scale damage, photos look very serious.
Hopefully no fatalities or serious injuries, but hard not to imagine people will have been hurt in that.
Looks like a gas explosion from one of the apartments ??
Thought gas explosion too when I first seen the photos.
No fire.
Looks bad, hopefully no-one was badly injured.

Some destruction.
Doesn't look good at all...
Christ that looks horrific.
Just counting the cars in the forecourt. I’d say there was a good few people in the shop, outside and in cars. Plus staff.
Some explosion based off that photo with blocks thrown all over.
Just spoke to a friend from there. Talk is at least 1 fatality and several severely injured and trapped. 30 injured in total. I stress this is not verified.
Looks bad. Hospital is over run apparently. Hearing of multiple deaths but best to wait for official statements
Before pic
Looks more like a gas explosion to do with either the shop or the apartments over?
Wow! That is terrible. Let's hope it isn't as bad as it looks.
Mother of God 😱
Thoughts and prayers for everyone affected (and I presume there's plenty).
I don’t like the look of the inside of the shop from this photo
Seems to be a large steel girder that held ok, so hopefully no debris through ceilings. People in the apartments and filling cars you'd be worried about. Can only hope for the best.
yes the steel and concrete floor slabs appear to be intact so that's a bonus.
Really bizarre since deleted tweet from Josepha madigan FG who is Minister of State for Special Education and Inclusion. She must have thought Donegal was one of the 6 counties and thought it could have been terrorism. What an absolute idiot.
The damage is frightening to see
That's quite the interpretation you're putting on it
You’re the only one that mentioned terrorism.
Media are as bad as that fool madigan
All with screaming headlines that there has been an explosion at a petrol station.
The explosion (going by every photo) is very much in an apartment.
There is a fuel forecourt in the same complex and looks like the pumps are standing, and signage still lighting.
But I suppose "explosion at apartment over a shop" is not going to get as many clicks as "petrol station explodes"
It is an explosion at a petrol station.
Breaking (geography) news. Donegal is in Ulster.
Terrorism is not, and never was, confined to the North even at the height of the Troubles.
It looks like an explosion in apartments to me.
There's a fuel station in front of them that has been damaged by debris.
I see sinn fein's doherty has already got the "pensioners and children" angle in on his statement to try and get up the publicity ranking.
I hope that there are no fatalities and injuries are not as bad as the pictures suggest they could be.
Thankfully the indo has very much toned down its sensationalist headline now.
You’re the one looking to make political capital out of an appalling tragedy
They’re still referring to fears of multiple fatalities. Truly awful. I know Creeslough a bit, a lovely small village. One can only imagine the generational devastation this will cause
A post office was recentlyocated to the station apparently, today is pension day, not good.
All I could think when I heard the time of the explosion was children out of school. I hope that there are no fatalities or serious injuries, especially little kids. It’s awful to look at, God help them all, including the emergency services, that is an awful situation for everyone involved. Pierce Doherty said a few times it was a dark day for Creeslough, so make of that what you will.
A few points here.
Stop with the terrorism angle. It obviously didn't happen from the petrol station. Plus jaysus.
Secondly(should have been firstly, but I hope nobody was hurt. Very unlikely.). Awful stuff.
Thirdly, stop with your thoughts and prayers crap. Look deep in yourself, unless you have connections to the victims, be honest.
