It was a harmless enough question really but also a slightly daft one too
Yeah, think Murph got annoyed was because he knew it was a stupid question but he just wanted Ken to play along. Ken went the other way
They're having a laugh, but I do detect an edge at times in some of Ken's put downs of Murph. Nothing too serious, but he'll put him in his place from time to time.
Seem to be a bit more frequent too, maybe all being back in the studio etc.
Murph can sometimes come across as that annoying guy who always has to have something to say on a topic even if it is nonsense and annoying and then keeps going with it

Agree, one hundred percent..it's also made these matches competitive. Teams more evenly matched than they ever were. Countries like England and Spain losing their long running unbeaten records etc. Matches that mean something. Might be more money for UEFA but that trickles down to nations and as such should trickle down to grass roots soccer.

I'm enjoying the edgier vibe of them being back in the office so to speak. Ken and Murph always spark off each other more in these scenarios.

Marcotti was a brilliant listen today.
He's very good but he seems a bit on edge or something, like he's on the verge of going off on a rant. Not that I'm complaining, he's a great listen
Just to balance the books a little, I'm a huge fan of Murph - just Ken and Eoin would be way worse imo. He's essential to anything other than football. Show me a three way conversation among friends where there isn't the odd person speaking over the other.
I think some people here just want to listen to Ken monologues all day every day! (which would be excellent too)

Murph is superb on GAA coverage, my increased interest in it is largely down to him. He's also incredibly intelligent and quick witted, he can just be a bit in your face at times
Ken talks a lot of shite too but he tends to get more of a free pass, probably because it suits his personality a bit better
I don't think there's massive tension. I think they both love to be contrarian (Marcotti self confessed contrarian yesterday). I reckon they get on rather well.
