,the main gun was raised too ,so they would have had time to react if the gun started to move into a position to shoot,
If the crew had explosives inside the vehicle the blast would have been pretty much contained to the vehicle interior,the crew would have been turned to paint

I have never seen anything like this. I watched it about 5 times :). Also delighted to see a female soldier running the show. Question (probably a stupid one) for the military guys here - when the Ukrainian soldiers went up very close to the tank - how did they not know that the the tank wasn't booby trapped? If it had been, I know it would have been curtains for the Russians as well.
