Not much in the way of solid info yet, but they’re starting to tease it, with 4 images

Among others stuff, they seem to show a mix of capacitive and real buttons, wireless phone charger, a place marked with some kind of wireless key logo (does it mean you have to put a key there, or one of those emergency things?) and multiple user profiles.

So launch edition will be nearly €48,000 for the 60kWh (incorrect units of kW used on the website) version up to 22kW AC and 130kW DC charging capable. 450km capable on 60kWh battery and 300km on 40 kWh battery suggests 13kWh/100km

Impressive enough specs although for a renault the price is a bit high. A 2021 petrol megane for example will set you back half that price

The entry level 60kw, is 42k, looks like a much better spec than an entry level ID3, or even, several of the higher specced ID 3’s its main compeditor.

The entry level ID3 is a lot less that 42K but after VW resumed production they decided to only build one model so they could plan production better around component shortages. Hence the odd speced DX model.

nice review - the battery size for the entry would have been ok if and only if its a very efficient car - and looking at your review that doesn't seem to be the case, although those rims look big.

So yes, for €39k it just doesn't cut the mustard imo.

I'm actually disappointed - i was expecting more.

Seen one parked up in Sandyford and I was surprised how small it actually is as opposed to the feeling you get from pictures. Its roughly like a new E-Niro but looks a bit bulkier in the front and back. Nonetheless, great looking car tho.

All cars have good and bad wheels. I'm not particularly fond of those wheels but I'm not "hahaha Renault bad". I think the Mégane wheels are a bit too flash for the style of the car.

I doubt it. I can understand the Scenic it was supposed to be a family car but the 20s looked great on it and Renault was ahead of most other manufacturers on the mass market for offering wheels of this size.

Loads of cars are offering them now do and the Megane is still quite smooth riding even on these 20inch wheels.

The entry level has 18s i believe.

All the cars with 20s are the higher spec model.

from a few calls to a few dealers in recent days it appears that no demos arriving this month- situation seems to have changed within last week. That it will be next month at some stage for demos and deliveries in q1 2023. one salesperson stated that there would be no 40kw arriving in initial supplies, how true that is remains to be be seen. Disappointing -but lines up what has been on some uk forums last number of weeks that they are expecting techno deliveries for march ( new uk plate) and base model later in the year.-

We have gone for the Techno with the 60kWh battery. Currently doing lots of reading & research. Electricity out of contract this month so that's the first thing to sort out.

I Seen one before Christmas at the dealer in Tullamore from affair and it looked stunning at the front. Can not wait to see one up close.

It is a lovely looking car. We looked at this and the mg4. The interior was far superior in the megane in my opinion. Infotainment was so easy to use. Got a decent test drive in it and handled lovely on the back roads around by Dublin airport.

I've a short commute and we already have a home charger installed as we have a Mercedes c350e plug in hybrid (currently selling). Looking the EI Boost plan. Reckon 2hrs each night would be enough to keep battery topped up
