Great gig and lovely to see the crowd so up for it
3rd gigs in both Vicar Street(Nov 24th) & St.Lukes(Dec 1st) added, and are onsale now.
They really should play the Opera House in Cork, its a much better venue than St Lukes.
Might not be available those dates. I like St Lukes. At least last time I was there they let you bring in drink. Couldn't when I went to the Opera House for a gig a few weeks ago.
You are right, there is a panto on those dates.
Some gigs you can bring drink in others you cant, its annoying.
What gets me more is the Opera House trying to stop people taking photos, its getting very bad in there recently, completely over the top.
I was at a gig few months back and went to take my first picture of the night and this oaf warned me I'd be ejected if I took another photo.
Loads of people around me recording videos all night long and he ignored them, they are like nazis in there.
Don't think you're going to get too much sympathy around here for taking out the phone during a gig.
I guess taking a picture isn't too distracting. But I wish those that take videos be thrown out on their a$$es. A scourge at gigs.
I'd personally rather stick needles in my eyeballs but it might appeal to some here.
Love U2 but that Bono show would be a little meh and no doubt a bit self righteous Different story if it was a full solo gig (which would probably never happen)
Interested too see what the prices will be, there are enough U2 die hard fans who will pay crazy prices to see there god in such a small setting

Say upper circle (level 3) will be the cheap ticket with Circle and ground floor will be prob €10 or so more expensive
The Boxes and front row seats will probably be for the VIPs and Bonos chums

Couple of charity gigs, but dont think as a standalone concert.
Never as a Band have they played the Olympia, but have appeared as guests etc.
Some additional restrictions in place for Olympia gig, and prices for ground floor could be saucy. Very likely a lot more than tenner extra !

Was at an event last month which used Yondr pouches and it was grand, could be the norm very soon at some gigs
I do find it a bit OTT esp if you're paying a good bit of money to attend an event but as will be said the positives of these 'phone free events' will win out. Mark The Undertaker Callaway said he likes to do it this way to stop people putting clips up on social media which would kind of devalue the show for people who buy tickets

Yeah, the night for Christy was a pre recorded thing, I've been told they played a private charity show there for the Simon community, but no evidence exists and if it happened, U2 fans would know.......
The only thing OTT about it is the stupidity of needing "your phone is your ticket" to gain entry prior to them requiring you in fact not need it.
Give people proper tickets and leave the phone away.
Nah, it's 2022, printing tickets is a nonsensical waste.
So you might think however...It says when phone is locked away you get some paper with your seat number/area on it.
Gonna predict sigrid will play the autumn sessions in mitchelstown, they have one headliner still to announce and the guys from indie mentioned they are announcing an intimate show tomorrow morning

You are extremely naïve if you think Ticketmaster and promoters switched to mobile ticketing to save paper.
Its all about control.
Its ok now as they arent using dynamic bar codes but if they do switch to them and transfer is disabled things will get very messy.
The limelight in Belfast is also teasing a sigrid gig, so probably a few gigs around the Dublin gig.

Yeah looks like they've pretty much confirmed it on their Twitter. They've a tweet from yesterday with cozy and clip of Sigrid. That's a fairly decent book for a small festival in north Cork!
