Whether it's breached or not, it looks like a formidable defensive position and I would be surprised if there are any further Ukrainian advances on this part of the Kherson front, they will probably concentrate elsewhere.
As regards the Russian-held villages in the northern Kherson salient, they are still reachable by a road about 2km from the front line and another road much further back. Although unsealed, they are the only roads to these villages so they won't fall apart in the wet season. Presumably the Ukrainians will be targeting the nearer one with artillery fire in the coming days.

The sad fact is there's likely to be some compromise in the end. One that neither side likes or wants, or the crap will go on and on. The Russian side I give two hoots for, but they're in this mess and the major cause of it. We've enough experience in this country of dealing with the machinations and screwups of a larger power and dealing with such compromises, one that partitioned our island and country, which led to a civil war in this part and then a protracted civil war in the other. It's going to be a hard road for Ukraine to navigate that even when Russia buggers off.
I still think even with compromises Ukraine has won this war and won the second putin made his moronic run to Kyiv. And failed. Even if he'd taken Kyiv, he'd have still failed and his victory would have been a pyrrhic and temporary one. Russia has lost and lost badly, by damned near every metric there is. Even if they keep a chunk of Donbas and Crimea, they'll be looking down the barrel of innsurrection in both areas, especially Donbas for at least a generation. They'll also have to throw huge cash, cash they don't have into attempts to rebuild those areas and keep them sweet. For spin purposes if nothing else. How many bazillions has the UK fired into the North of Ireland since partition and it was still a powderkeg? Ramp that up massively for any areas Russia has taken in this war.
I've been thinking similarly. Whatever about the morals or pros and cons Russia has piled unbelievable mistake upon unbelievable mistake since this kicked off. Strategically, politically, economically, tactically. A comedy of errors if it weren't so bloody murderous.

Now these lads might be making these nuke statements to garner favour and begin to disassociate themselves with the botox dwarf and make themselves look like the next strongman leader or they may in fact be prepared to take that step, i guess we may find out soon enough.
The bottom line is there is something very wrong with the Russian mindset in general and it's been a problem for generations at this stage.
