(Looks out window. Doesn't see mushroom cloud or irradiated wasteland.)
Looks fine?
But in seriousness, though, the problem is that Putin is essentially threatening to use nukes in an offensive capacity - to make Ukraine majorly rethink their decision to defend their internationally-recognised borders, and that has been hitherto unheard of in active war. While it is entirely Ukraine's choice at any point to lay down arms, if Putin finds that this threat works, then we're in a whole new paradigm. That's why it's been called 'nuclear blackmail'.
Putin lost weight and got drafted-
So if it's another false rumour why bother posting it? Can you explain what your problem is with using reliable sources?
Putin's put all his political capital on conquering Ukraine and beating the West. He can try to sue for peace, but he needs favourable terms first of all, and second of all, he'll want to come back and finish the job. Meanwhile, Russia will remain under sanctions and I see little to no way of rehabilitating the east-west relationship while Putin remains in charge. Putin needs to go, but he won't leave voluntarily.
I think it's pretty clear that Ukraine won't give in to this kind of blackmail and is willing to call Putin's bluff if it comes to it...
But assuming it is a bluff, it'll be interesting to see how far Russia is willing to push it.
The Russians?! Klingons?!
But….they are without honor.
Meanwhile, the farce continues...
Oop, looks like Borova is up next for encirclement.
We're hiring !!! Land surveyors wanted. Combat experience preferred but not essential
Quite possibly, the most incompetent, half-assed land grab in modern history...
Once again, you are putting on airs and are assuming powers you don't have. Your self appointed power to define what happens in this thread is illusory. I'll do as I see fit, which in this case included a caveat.
Another unsettling development:
"The intelligence service of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) "lost" the Russian nuclear submarine K-329 Bilhorod, which left the deployment port the day before. NATO fears that the boat went out to sea to test torpedoes capable of causing a "radioactive tsunami."
The Italian publication La Repubblica writes about this with reference to its own sources.
According to the publication, the NATO leadership sent a warning to its allies that the submarine Bilhorod probably left the port of deployment and headed to the Arctic for tests.
NATO intelligence believes that a Russian boat can conduct tests of Poseidon nuclear warhead torpedoes there, which are also called "torpedoes of the apocalypse."
This torpedo is designed so that the U.S. infrared satellite surveillance system cannot detect it. At the same time, the torpedo can move at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour for a distance of 10,000 kilometers." https://ukranews.com/en/news/885567-nato-concerned-over-russian-nuclear-submarine-armed-with-apocalypse-torpedoes-media
Perhaps they could use something like the boundary rope on a cricket field? Two advantages come to mind, easily moved when the Ukrainians take back their land, and they could even use the triangular puffy advertising thingy!
The motto of the Russians:
Today is a good day to die.
100klms per hour. I've a Honda 50 that's faster than that. If they launch it now it may reach the US East coast by the end of November.
Glory to you…and your Dacha
A rare occurrence - Putin admitting mistakes. He needs to admit that his "Special Military Operation" was his biggest mistake of all.

Would Romulans be a better comparison?
And they take it as a personal attack and lash out when you bring it up. As you say, it just doesn't benefit anyone to post sensational rumours that already a few hours later prove totally unfounded...
Lol
I tend to just look at the posters names before i read the post itself, it's a good way of telling if it's made up Twitterverse rubbish or not.
Prune juice sales through the roof
Lots of dead Russian videos coming from the recent attack in Liman.
They would :P
Ye Gods but this fella needs to stop drinking whatever it is he is drinking! he looks like Dante coming out from Hell.
I wonder if we will see more orc retreats today,
no retreat no surrender comrades ahhh but we read it on here 🤣🤣🤣
And to think it's only Monday,
Somehow I doubt Putin is feeling all that relaxed these days. He's made a huge gamble with his political future and that of the Russian nation's, and it's failing quite badly so far. Probably doesn't make for restful nights.
100 km/h is actually not too shabby for an underwater vehicle. Most nuclear submarines are able to do 30+ knots, or around 50-60 km/h when going flat out, and they're noisy as hell when going that fast, making them easy to detect. I think they meant a top speed of 100 knots though, which would be even more impressive but only useful during the final run-in to the target because every sonar for 100+ kilometres around would be able to pick up that ruckus!
Poseidon is meant as a "loitering weapon", deployed in a certain area to move in a holding pattern at low speed until the go order is issued, before making a run to its designated target, whatever that may be. For what it's worth, I see Poseidon more as a carrier battle group killer than as the terror weapon the Kremlin, with the help of western media, is making it out to be. Russia's planned deployment pattern, using a dedicated class of submarine, Project 09851 or the Khabarovsk class, currently under construction, would bear that out. From what little information I've been able to gather, the Khabarovsk's design and mission profile are closer to the new Yasen class cruise missile submarine or the under-development Laika class SSN that's slated to replace the aging Akulas than it would be to a deterrent platform like a ballistic missile boat.
Now the big question in all of this is of course how far along Poseidon actually is. It is a completely new kind of weapons system, so it's likely bound to encounter its share of hiccups and surprises during its test phase. Also, as of the time of writing this, the special project submarine Belgorod is the only front-line submarine of the Russian navy able to carry Poseidon. However, Belgorod also has to pull double duty as an intelligence gathering platform and as a base for deep-sea diving & sabotage operations, meaning that even if Poseidon were operation, she likely wouldn't be carrying it full-time in order to have more reserve buoyancy available.
All in all, I'm not too worried about the potential of Poseidon. It's an interesting platform alright, but given Russia's ongoing issues with military procurement, and the fact that the first dedicated Khabarovsk class launch platform won't even join the fleet until 2024 at the earliest, I think it's more of a paper tiger.
More like the Pakled at this point: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Pakled
@cnocbui This torpedo is designed so that the U.S. infrared satellite surveillance system cannot detect it. At the same time, the torpedo can move at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour for a distance of 10,000 kilometers.".
It's also faster than American and Nato standard torpedos , definitely faster than most naval ships , which means once its fired it would be near impossible to track or chase,
Could be another wonder weapon thats exists in only in propaganda though
Speaking of new weapons, the Ukrainians report on telegram that they have found new Russian weapons that have never been reported on the internet:
🔥 Today, the guys from the Ukrainian special forces allowed to publish photos and documentation of a new trophy, which was captured at the positions of Russian troops, just for the readers of the channel of the international intelligence community @informnapalm.
This is a relatively new Russian development of a mine, about which there is actually no information on the Internet yet.
The OLA-8T marking indicates that its composition: octogen – 77%, aluminum – 8%, a compound (LD-70, polyacrylic polymer,
stabilizer) - 15%. The detonation speed is 8430 m/c at a density of 1.84 g/cm3.
These are far from the first relatively new and little-known Russian developments that the Ukrainian special forces managed to capture along with the documentation.
The Russian military sabotages the orders of their command and leaves the documents for new weapons intact and undamaged, some surrender and, under certain guarantees or wishes, tell where they found interesting gifts with documents.
Are the orc's Russians equivalent of British black and tans ?
Absolute lugs thug's and exe cons....
