Controlled by men who meet in secret? Is that another common ethos?
What’s going on up in Leitrim with Martin?
"I've said they're un-linkable multiple posts ago"
Yes. Then you said "there are plenty of articles about it if you want to do a search."
You stated there were "catholic policys". You've provided no evidence of them whatsoever, despite multiple requests to do so. There are two things you can do to rectify the situation -1 - provide the links and give a few examples or - 2 - withdraw the allegation.
He seems to have upset someone.
Earlier you were claiming that articles had been deleted off google. What articles exactly? How do you know they were deleted?
Jonathan Dowdall | Liveline - RTÉ Radio 1 (rte.ie)
saw this on another thread , a self described good friend of mlm with no connections with crime
There's nothing to withdraw as they have been a party for Catholics, you may as well be denying Jerry's stint in the IRA. A simple Google search will bring you up the history and the recent moves away from the Catholic Church (on abortion for example), but to deny that link exists is absurd given their support base.
But this is also why you'd be deathly afraid to engage on this line of discussion as it lays bare the hypocrisy on show. Were they ever a party for Cagholics? Why, and do you think they are finally moving beyond this, but will they be letting their support in the North take a hit to do so?
We'll now see if you can engage properly or stuck in a loop like your compatriot, I'm betting on the loop, this thread seems to attract that group for some reason.
So the Indo this morning publicising Shane Ross’ new book on Mary Lou has a picture of her and her husband with her two young kids . Absolutely outrageous and a gross invasion of privacy.I don’t think I’ve ever seen another Irish politician have their kids unwittingly snapped and the imagine shared in such a fashion before.
From how many years ago ?
he was questioning her big house and wealth and the pic is in the public domain.
Either back it up or withdraw the remark entirely.
What has that got to do with anything? Can we expect to see pics of other politicians now with their families?
It is now because they published it. Do you not see a problem with that?
That photo has been used many times over the years.
Remember, it is at a polling station, she EXPECTS the photos. In the other photo she is posing for the photo.
Classic deflecting from the story that questions where she got the very substantial funding.
I've given you the tools to back up the obvious (there are reams of article about it). You seem unwilling to discuss their Catholic background or want to deny it entirely while chasing a "gotcha" moment, why is that? (the previous incumbent tried to use this tactic to stifle discussion they didn't like).
And I was right about being stuck in a loop.
Why not just provide your articles and links etc and prove an aul shinner wrong?
There are very few SF supporters on thread who are willing to discuss anything, they are purely about shutting down any unfavourable chat.
Another shinner who doesn't want to discuss anything SF related, how surprising. Are they a party with predominantly Catholic origins? Why are there news articles every time they differ slightly with the Catholic Church? Is it unfair of the media to do so? (you've obviously seen them even if you're deathly afraid of engaging on it ;)
I have seen plenty of photos of Leo with his partner and Michael Martin with his family.
It just seems the norm, with political party leaders.
I'm trying to discuss the SF related remarks you made. As an atheist SF voter for over three decades I'd like to know what I've failed to observe in that time.
I have asked multiple questions that you have been dodging while you rathole on wanting me to link to articles showing their Catholic polices which have been present for decades with recent moves away from them (although a cynic would say the changes are just to go against the DUP than any type of ethos change).
To give you a little bit of meat, SF only changed their abortion policy in 2018:
Sinn Féin votes to change abortion policy - BBC News
Which is very late for a non Catholic oriented party (Labour were here in the 90's, maybe before).
What kept them following the Catholic church teachings on this policy until 2018?
That was the view of the majority of the membership at the time. For or against abortion is not a catholic thing, strictly speaking. The DUP are actively anti-abortion, as are the TUV, and, in theory, the SDLP.
There you go again, dumbing down (if that were possible) again on your 'questionable' comment about their 'Catholic policies' with their Catholic polices which have been present for decades, you have been asked countless times to list their catholic policies (even one), you can't obviously, so you continue to bullsh1t and bluster.
Abe Lincoln: Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt
Why were they against abortion until 2018? What drove that policy?
On another tack, would you agree that the number of Catholics in Northern Ireland shouldn't matter with regard to a border poll, but should only be looking at poll numbers?
But then why was the number in the census figures for Catholics relevant for MLM to call a border poll?
Sinn Fein leader: Time to plan for border poll on Irish unity - BelfastTelegraph.co.uk
Being an atheist SF supporter for 30 years, you would find that quite strange, no?
The majority of nationalists are of catholic background, so no surprise that an increase in numbers of that community means an increase the nationalist vote. However it should be noted that not all catholics are nationalist voters.
That's the second time you've used that quote to silence yourself :)
We have abortion and numbers of Catholics in NI as part of their policies so far.
Would their support for religions as charities and the tax they pay count? Given it's primarily to benefit the Catholic church in Ireland? (straight from the Atheists this one).
But on the discussion side, Abortion as a Catholic issue -> shut down (we can also go into the Aontú split here if wished).
Catholic numbers in a border poll -> shut down (unless you want to dance on the head of a pin as to why their support here is majority Catholic).
And remember, this was about a question asked by a journalist after the Catholic numbers outnumbered the Protestants about going to mass and an atheist "not seeing" the link between the two.
What in the name of all thats holy does that mean
Is abortion a SF Catholic policy
Is numbers of Catholics in NI a SF Catholic policy
Fair bit of deflection going on here, one would have to assume.
I have for a long time suspected this to be the case. How many in the public service occasional drop information in to Sf hands. It will all come out some day. Especially for those gullable types that don't even know they are been played by Sf. Its so right out of Putin's Russia handbook of how to control.
It's well known that there is a cabal within the public service passing top secret (some of it marked 'Confidential - not for circulation') information to SF, Putin and others, the divils.
