I'm thinking it's a lack of people tweeting about fighting, rather than a lack of fighting.
This thread goes quiet at night, all of boards goes quiet at night, it's not due to lack of fighting/news, it's down to people far removed from the news/fighting that are sleeping.
Russian naval ships operate with their ATIS switched off. The latest Sentinel imagery, along with the Intel gathered by the daily Global Hawk, EP-3's and military satellites all show around 30 Russian Navy vessels operating in the Black Sea, well off the Crimean coast.
Sevastapol was cleared out last week, with all the submarines moving to the ports in Novorossiya. This occured when Ukraine began it's offensive and presented the real possibility of moving their HIMARS within range of Sevastapol.
You can see a clear absence of ships and other crafts across a defined area around Crimea. This is an exclusion zone enforced by the Russian Navy and likely to indicate the current position of the Black Sea Fleet.
UK Intel reports have confirmed the relocation of the submarines:
And, the flightpath of USAF Global Hawk operations have also corresponded with the edges of this "exclusion zone"
The Black Sea fleet is very much there. Just because you cannot see them, does not mean they are not present. Also, OSINT channels, a few weeks ago, worked out that the surface radar sweeps from the ships radars caused interference in the Sentinel Satellite imagery, giving away their positions. I wrote a post on this a few pages back if you're interested.
I'm afraid, this is not going to "blow over".

I am only going by the chatter I see on Telegram/Twitter, but it only seems to happen during very intense periods of fighting. It happened often during the early days when Kyiv and Bucha were under attack. It happened during the peak of fighting at Siverodonetsk. I guess neither side has sufficient night vision equipment to make it more prevalent.
There's also a definite lull of fighting on Sundays. Maybe they all go to mass on that day?
I think there is no way Zelenskyy would have made the application without running it past the NATO allies first anyway and it allows them reply in a way that is less inflammatory than the **** that is being spouted by putin. When putin is ranting like a madman saying something is proabbaly better than staying quiet and it allows a public discussion with NATO that can make it clear they are still on Ukraine's side even if they don't want to escalate things further at this time.

There is extremely fierce fighting going on around Lyman over the last few days. My Telegram feeds are showing that fighting is still going on even now (which is rare to have fighting at night). We'll have to wait until tomorrow to learn of what's the actual state of play.

They would be our equivalent of Brexiteers / Daily Mail readers. I've noticed too that a lot of these guys would have authoritarian instincts, which is another reason they admire Putin. They fancy living in such a state, just as long as the liberals and woke types are the ones who are being oppressed.
I know two guys through work who think like this. IE. middle aged right wing types, certainly homophobic(what about our children!) who believe in the World economic forum getting Bill Gates to inject us with big pharma nanobots. They love putin, before this too. He banned the liberal western benders from polutting his children sort of thing. Stronk leader. That he is a shortarse, with a face like a slapped arse, but Does what's right!! helps with the recognition of a fellow.
They don't like the EU. They blame it for everything. When you point out the thing they're bitching about had nada to do with the EU, or even was opposed by it and it was all down to our own home grown shower of parochial gobshítes they go blank. One being in a state of complete conflusterment, actually came back with some acknowledgement of this but then suggested I hated my country... 😂
