The speculation would be that if Russia maintains anything well, it would be their nuclear arsenal, but to reiterate - that is only speculation. It's just that it's Putin's military 'crown jewel', so to speak. Putin's probably doubly anxious to know if they're in good working order now that he's realised the incompetence and corruptness of his conventional military.
Edit - seems the comments are gone.
Problem with that is that the cost of maintaining such a large nuclear arsenal, its around 50-60 billion $ a year, thats what US pays with a smaller arsenal than Russia.
I highly doubt Russia with its corruption would have maintained it to a proper standard, since most of it is soviet era missiles.
They might have 20-30 missiles newly produced like the sarmat, but thats about it
And another thing is anti ballistic missiles defence that Russia lacks, its only covering Moscow at the moment, with limited effect, while US and Europe have invested heavily in it the last decade and have many system operational and ready.
There were no promises chuck up a link. This sounds like Wallace and grommet talk.
easy to keep a few working and show them the ones in the parades probably work and a few siloes. He can't visit them all and would not want to after seeing one.
This reads like a Darth Putin tweet.
The Russians clearly being ordered to hold Lyman, Yampil and that other town at all costs. Can't be easy for them .
Is this part of a bigger plan for the Russians to buy time to properly set up the next line of defense further east?
Really and what part of gerasimovs doctrine and Putins bybrid warfare did you miss?
Was US behind that too maybe.?
Russians getting a warm welcome and reminder at the Georgian border
Not surprised after Russia visited in 2008
Thats when Putin should have been stopped.
Did I read correct Russia has stopped all traffic heading into Norway today
The head of Dagestan Sergei melikov isn't impressed at all with Russian draft officials
Latest Rybar map. If true, surely the Russians will have to withdraw in the next day or two.
Two wrongs are a wrong. Putin's invasion is wrong, American invasions were wrong (American here and few Americans think Iraq was just). They're all wrongs. No justification whatsoever.
Surely 'withdrawal' is not on the menu of options if you're encircled?
An interesting detail about Orc nukes is that the only ones deployed and immediately usable are the bigger yield ones on ICBMs. The smaller yield tactical ones are all stored in a few bunkers and have to be retrieved before use.
Nuclear strike: facts about why Russia will not be able to unexpectedly hit Ukraine:
👉Satellites will record preparations at the stage of transportation, the conditions for storing nuclear warheads are very strict.
👉NATO allies have warned Russia that the alliance could destroy a convoy with nuclear weapons as it approaches its starting position.
Interesting detail about back channel warnings being made.
Dewagnerized
You'll be called a putinbot for pointing that simple fact out.
The Ukrainians have said they have already encountered some conscripts at lyman and that they might as well not be there for the nonexistent contribution they made.
The comment in the tweet isn't accurate. The road through Zarichne still appears to be open.
Russia deployed 3 SU-30SM fighter jets (RF-81772, RF-81760 и RF-81758) at Baranavichy airfield in Belarus
Wow, how have i not realised up to this point that it is all America's fault. Thanks for setting me straight.
Here come the Abrams.
In the coming days, important steps may be taken to provide the Ukrainian army with more modern tanks," Senator Lindsey Graham said during a video briefing
If there are international war crimes trials, Solovyov and Skabayeva could easily find themselves in the dock as regime propagandists. I think this might be slowly starting to dawn on him.
Doubt they will get Abrams,at this point in the game , other vehicles maybe
Maybe in the future they might get a look in for Abrams, the next order of Abrams are going to Poland
Only when it's whataboutery, and it usually is.
That particular "roadbase" hasn't been used in decades because it's on a major highway, but the air force regularly practices on roadbases around the country (which generally means landing/taking off on runways marked on roads).
Loads of them around the country, they look like this.
It's good to see the republicans make statements like that and not roll over on their belly like TFG (and we know Graham would have form for that usually).
First I seen it ,
Seen it in Sweden with their Saab viggens
first time I seen an f18 doing it in Europe
There's still a road up the East side of the Zherebets that would get them to Svatove that's not in the Ukrainian's control yet. It might be a bit of a duck shoot though.
Petraeus was interviewed in the last couple of days and strongly suggested it would be M1's going to NATO countries to backfill their transfers of T-72s to Ukraine.
Who says it not accurate exactly,
Someone makes a post you counter and say not true then run away
