Russians getting a warm welcome and reminder at the Georgian border
Not surprised after Russia visited in 2008
Thats when Putin should have been stopped.
Really and what part of gerasimovs doctrine and Putins bybrid warfare did you miss?
Was US behind that too maybe.?
This reads like a Darth Putin tweet.
The Russians clearly being ordered to hold Lyman, Yampil and that other town at all costs. Can't be easy for them .
Is this part of a bigger plan for the Russians to buy time to properly set up the next line of defense further east?
easy to keep a few working and show them the ones in the parades probably work and a few siloes. He can't visit them all and would not want to after seeing one.
There were no promises chuck up a link. This sounds like Wallace and grommet talk.
Problem with that is that the cost of maintaining such a large nuclear arsenal, its around 50-60 billion $ a year, thats what US pays with a smaller arsenal than Russia.
I highly doubt Russia with its corruption would have maintained it to a proper standard, since most of it is soviet era missiles.
They might have 20-30 missiles newly produced like the sarmat, but thats about it
And another thing is anti ballistic missiles defence that Russia lacks, its only covering Moscow at the moment, with limited effect, while US and Europe have invested heavily in it the last decade and have many system operational and ready.
Edit - seems the comments are gone.
The speculation would be that if Russia maintains anything well, it would be their nuclear arsenal, but to reiterate - that is only speculation. It's just that it's Putin's military 'crown jewel', so to speak. Putin's probably doubly anxious to know if they're in good working order now that he's realised the incompetence and corruptness of his conventional military.
The response from NATO would most likely be conventional, they have enough resources to finish Russia in a week without using nuclear weapons, and Putin knows this too.
I am pretty sure US and European intelligence knows every mobile launcher, silo and launch from Russia and how to take em out out if needed.
Besides the corruption in russia as seen in the russian military probably would have affected the state of their nuclear arsenal
Ukrainian military liberated Shandryholove, Donetsk region
The hypocrisy of it Biden going on about the Annexation of bits of Ukraine as if it has never happened in American history before, against International Law and so on. Plus America played a major part in creating this situation.
Letting Putin rule the rule in Russia and develop his power based, then ignoring his level of paranoia in breaking the post USSR promises on countries NATO membership.
America just really annoy me all of this they are a major factor in creating this situation over the last 30 years. And America must be delighted as the obvious blame can be heaped on Putin instead. Whereas, America's poor diplomacy can all be forgotten about with a succession of Presidents following the fall of the USSR.
If Russia carry out a nuclear strike, I'd expect to see a large scale NATO conventional response. Something like the US shock and Awe campaign in Iraq 2003. Id say the Russian Black Sea fleet to be sunk fairly sharpness, the Kalingrad military structures and units to be taken out and Russian positions and bases in occupied Ukraine to be taken out. That would be proportionate. At that point Russia with withdraw from Ukraine with Putin claiming he's doing so to save lives and prevent World Nuclear Armageddon while Russia goes full North Korea.
I wonder is this the essence of Putin’s gamble: that NATO will not get directly involved if the Russians carry out a local nuclear strike. I know the back channels have been warning of dire consequences, but who knows what kind of mad soundings Putin is receiving from his increasingly desperate minions. Putin’s writing the final chapter of his autobiography in Ukrainian and Russian blood.
There could be exceptions, maybe Fox news wants to replace Tucker too
Wow he sounds glum! So many big sighs.
My favourite part was him, of all people, talking about "Western Propaganda lying with abandon".
Well at least their P*ssed up so won't feel the cold.
Not a good start. Snow on the ground and no commanders
I hear GB News is recruiting
I think he is afraid of losing his job, since nobody probably wants to listen to him in Russia anymore and he wont get a job abroad.
Should have read “ I beg to differ “
Turns our when you look at the new weapons being sent have not been made yet..
Galloway? You mean Saddam hussein and Ali Khameneis best buddy
I wouldnt be surprised if he have a thing for Putin as well,he seems to adore dictators, and have appeared on RT and Sputnik on several occations.
If what he was saying about the first lot of conscripts to be sent to the front line actually happens we could be seeing some horrific loss of life in the weeks ahead.
We will teach you to invade internationally accepted sovereign accepted borders by invading your internationally accepted sovereign borders 🙄
No one is looking to annex Kaliningrad.
And the reasons he didn't engage in March are not only equally valid, but significantly more valid than they were then. A viable Belarussian incursion in March could have been the difference between the Kyiv offensive succeeding or failing so miserably as it did. Engaging now just makes the fall of his regime more inev
With their store bought old handhld Garmin gps, taped to the control's,
That dates back to Syria @gandalf you might remember that particular thread
True remember the cockpit cam from syria with cheapo satnav as a navigation system. Even then they had pretty terrible kit.
Actually one of the videos posted in defense of the Russians looks awfully like Syria ....
The twitter account claim I should know I'm Russian - another bint
Not sure how credible is the source (this is a Russian blogger who is anti-russian), but he shows some footage from today of Kazakhstan sending a trainload to Russia with war equipment, mostly military trucks, jeeps, some tanks. If that is truth, like wtf Kazakshtan?!

The Americans said there will be 'catastrophic' consequences for Russia if Putin uses a nuclear device. I doubt they will back down on this - this is not Obama's 'red line'. Far more is at stake.
Not sure why that place is always offered back to Germany. Germans were as much tennants there as was Poles, or Lithuanians. Even ruSSkies had it for some years during the reign of Elizabeth I. If Zermans dont want it, fine. Offer to Ireland, clear up the place and create a Tayto Park II there. Makes equal nonsense. 😀
