Was in the papers a few weeks ago europe wide arena tour was to be announced for 2023 in the next few weeks

Slipknot announced for Nova Rock in Austria in June so confirms they will be back next summer, would love a mini knot fest in marlay but can't see it happening

Was kinda hoping for an arena tour as a festival appearance here is a bit unlikely i'd have thought alright.
Roger Waters doing a European tour but no Irish dates.
The show is in the round so the 3 Arena is probably unsuitable.

There's an "exclusive album launch event" in the grand social tomorrow, would be the perfect time to announce tour dates.

Downgrading the show from Marlay (40k) to malahide (20k) between announcement and before pre sale even begins is strange indeed.

I’ve just been given presale access to Florence and the machine for next June in Cork and Dublin. Loved them 10 years ago - anyone know are they any good live?

Tuesday night would have hampered demand I'd guess.
Also, a lot will have seen them at Electric Picnic so won't go out/travel/pay for a midweek gig now.
They seem a bit full sure of themselves.
The presale email says "Due to high demand tickets are extremely limited".
They are playing stadiums in the Uk and a field here.
2nd night in Malahide a possibility as there is a big gap.
Still possible to do it, Arcade Fire did - in the round at 3 Arena in 2018, may have to be tweaked, but still doable, and he always plays here for usually 2 nights.
U2 barely fitted their i & e screen in, in 2016, they had a guy specifically designated, standing in the balcony, watching the massive screen going up and down, it came within inches of the balcony edge, and he had to kind of guide it, but with some “swing” involved, it moved in an out a bit, almost hitting the balcony. When B was at the very end of the walkway, he couldn’t be seen from upstairs.
In short, they figured it out, with some compromise, and making room, where the stage normally is.
I've never seen a venue change so soon after the announcement. Odd alright

I imagine tickets will be extortionate, but every chance to see Billy could be the last chance. Interested to see who fills out the bill.
Depeche Mode are teasing an announcement on 4th October. Most likely a new album but hopefully a tour along with it.
