Could it be that when Putin talks about using all means available to them he does not mean nuclear weapons but sabotage and damage to critical infrastructure?
Likely fake but .......
One to watch, just so those interested know what to look out for.
Ticker and Minot airbases in the States, home to B-52's are quite active at the moment, together with their KC-135'S.
Keep a track on then to see if they head East.
Fairford may be getting visitors.
I’d love to see a b52
I lived close to the base during the aftermath of 911. Got used to deafening noise & thick smoke over the garden from the B52s :)
The modern equivalent of the train into Stalingrad, as portrayed by Jude Law (which was apparently very true to life)
Lyman almost encircled?-
Global Power mission...Fairford will be on standby for diverts, but it will be out and back from Minot to wherever
First time I Saw one was sitting up on kippure in Wicklow back in the 90s it was at altitude but unmistakably a b52
@greenpilot you might enjoy this one ,
2 fencer D's(su24M) bombing run caught on camera
True enough, but may need the nuclear lesson for the stupid dictators at the back of the class who think that the US is scared rather than restraining themselves.
I run a bus to the Royal International Air Tattoo in Fairford every year. You can get up close and personal to them if you like.
Great weekend out.
@Gatling
Here's one for you too. Most excellent.
Possibly, Fairford is pretty active all week. The brother took a great vid of a U2 arriving back at 3am. Runway lights on. 10 mins later, all off.
Can't show the vid here I'm afraid.
A threat to show what they can do with infrastructure running undersea and across oceans. Damaging their own has no immediate consequences in sales for them as likely planning to choke the supply anyway.
But if it's found to be true, they are surely playing with fire in a big way. At present their military destruction is aimed towards Ukraine, if they start targeting infrastructure of other European states, surely that's tantamount to a declaration of war on their part?
I agree. Mark Felton included that scenario in his "what if" video a few weeks ago.
What are Russian air defences like at the moment in the occupied territories? I know they took some/ a lot of damage but is there any hard info on whether they've replaced both aircraft and anti aircraft systems?
Also nobody has mentioned the cyber capabilities of NATO, who knows what infiltration has occurred, whether into military or civilian infrastructure.
Very little info on it. However, ( and I'll go look for it), some OSINT guys figured out how to spot the Search Band radar sweeps by the lines they leave on Satellite topographical images. That's how they tracked Russian Naval assets. I'll go to try to find it.
This may be a very stupid question but could something have been placed inside the pipes to deliver an explosive device somewhere along the pipeline? Another stupid question if the gas has been turned off why so much gas escaping? I understand that it is a long pipeline and maybe has to remain pressurised but couldn’t that be done with nitrogen!
Sorry, i have to ask.
U2 is out Monday to Friday, been up a few mornings to catch it...B52 detachment went back last week but some equipment is still on site, so I wouldn't 100% rule out a B52 visit tomorrow or Thursday.
Russian Army Grub-
Don't give them ideas.
They'll put that on the front of the tanks, then they will be impenetrable.
Cool. Are you in Gloucestershire?
No worries - just curious to what extent Ukraine is able to use what it has of it's air force.
Here is the interesting information as I mentioned earlier that explains how the Radar is detected.
no, about 2 hrs away from Fairford, I'd be there more often if I was closer
Great stuff. Spent many years over and back from Brize, Filton and Fairford over the years. A great area for aviation anoraks. I flew a microlight out of Kemble into Fairford one year the week of RIAT ( long story!).
There's such a good aviation heritage in that part of the world.
I'd say Brize us like Heathrow these days.
That's just the start.

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has reported that 261,000 men had left Russia after the announcement of “partial” mobilisation in the country, our source in the Presidential Administration tells us.
Discussions on closing the border for men of military age began in the Presidential Administration on Wednesday, 21 September, when law enforcement agents had started reporting the numbers of men leaving the country. According to our source, the last report by FSB from 25 September stated that 261,000 men had left Russia in the period from Wednesday to Saturday evening.
A callup of 300,000, 261,000 have split, leaving 39,000 to surrender.
It's going swimmingly. Putin must be wondering why so many Russians don't want to die to keep him in power. The ingrates.
Ukraine are carrying out air strikes most nights and days too and haven't lost an aircraft lately
