Yes he's a monster. His wikipedia page is a litany of war crimes. Anyone who repeatedly tortures and murders people under their detention is a real POS. The very definition of a war criminal. Ideally he'd be someone who ends up in the The Hague (or dropped unarmed into the middle of a village in Chechnya) but I won't hold my breath.
It's interesting how he seems to be able to call a spade a spade in this war. The rules governing the media don't seem to apply to him. As a result he can actually give some home truths when it comes the shambles of a military campaign so far. He's even openly criticised Putin.

I have not pitied the professional Russian soldiers who have died in Ukraine up to this point.
I dearly hope that Ukraine win this war. I'm not naïve - I know what must happen to Russian conscripts in Ukraine, in order to achieve that goal.
It doesn't sit right with me though celebrating their destruction. Many of them are just poor men who didn't have the means or good fortune to be able to escape mobilisation.

These have fallen as a result of a poor economic outlook and the fall in demand that comes with it. Good news for inflation but the cause of this drop is the increased liklihood of recession and all that comes with that. I'd say fairly neutral news as opposed to good.

Yes, the conscripts may well end up being 'victims' of the Putin regime, nearly as much as the Ukrainians. Zelensky has hinted in his recent TV addresses that he has some sympathy for them and has even told them they will be treated well if they get the opportunity to surrender.
