I'm enjoying the edgier vibe of them being back in the office so to speak. Ken and Murph always spark off each other more in these scenarios.
Murph is unreal, he just doesn't know when to shut the f*ck up sometimes, he was even butting in and answering questions that were directed straight to Ken!
Funny story with Eoin telling how he got jealous when he heard Coolio was hitting on his ex girlfriend
Of course then Murph had to come in try to match the story with his own anecdote....
The second time ken has said sport isnt as entertaining as video games.... not sure if i agree..... not sure if I agree with anything ken eary says.....
That second pod today was brilliant craic. The whole first half was comical.
Agree, one hundred percent..it's also made these matches competitive. Teams more evenly matched than they ever were. Countries like England and Spain losing their long running unbeaten records etc. Matches that mean something. Might be more money for UEFA but that trickles down to nations and as such should trickle down to grass roots soccer.
What better way to announce a 90s hip hop week than with a song from 80s!
A narrative being formed today by one of the contributors on Darwin Nunez that he’s a one season wonder at Benfica last season. Seeing as he’s Benfica’s all time record signing at 25 million euro I’ll file that under highly dubious.
Really enjoyed it. I can take or leave the politics pods but that was very interesting.
Murph can sometimes come across as that annoying guy who always has to have something to say on a topic even if it is nonsense and annoying and then keeps going with it
You can tell it sometimes annoys Ken and Eoin sometimes
They're having a laugh, but I do detect an edge at times in some of Ken's put downs of Murph. Nothing too serious, but he'll put him in his place from time to time.
Seem to be a bit more frequent too, maybe all being back in the studio etc.
Yeah, think Murph got annoyed was because he knew it was a stupid question but he just wanted Ken to play along. Ken went the other way
Yeah, noticed this too. Ken actually seemed genuinely annoyed at the question and Murph genuinely annoyed by Ken's response.
It was a harmless enough question really but also a slightly daft one too
Hilarious (to me anyway) bit at the end of Thursdays show after the chess.
Murph mentions West Ham vs Wolves is on sky on Saturday, reckons it's the worst premier league fixture, asks Ken to chime in, Ken thinks about it for a few seconds and realises it's a ridiclious question and gets a dig in at Murph "You've shown yourself up there Murph. Not for the first time". Murph gets annoyed and keeps at Ken who winds him up even more. Eoin then gets them to move on. Guaranteed Ken was sitting back in his chair laughing at Murph.
Murph usually almost chimes in and claims to be an expert on everything, was waiting for him to be an expert on these too...
Anal beads... what an introduction to the show
Some read
Coincidentally, I read the stone skipping article the other day. Funny to hear it come up on the pod. It's worth your time.

It’s replaced international friendlies. I think it’s great to be honest. UEFA have revamped international football excellently with the nations league and playing matches on all evenings during the week instead of just 2.
The nations league, though, really? It only exists to make money for UEFA.
The people like it. Players care about it. It’s not like the railway cup or something.
from an Irish perspective it’s the only thing in Irish football that makes money
Really doesn't say much for the standard of international football, does it.
International breaks are a joke and a pain in the ass, at least 50% of international games should not be taking place at all.
I hope they follow up on this story regardless of the investigation's outcome.
Kens knowledge of football outside of the premier league begins and ends with Diego Torres.
I think it’s mainly just uninformed because Ken isn’t watching or even processing Scotland games so he’s judging everything through the prism of the premier league.
if he judged yarmalenko by his west ham appearances he’s a dud, he’s a very different box of cheese in a Ukrainian shirt … as are many footballers who go up several levels when playing for their country.
I think there's times Ken can't but help being the contrarian.
Ah you'll be fine , the Napoli fans will be escorted from the trains and their buses. Just be aware is all. It will be unbelievable. Stadium is a bit out of the way as well. There's a Roma shop close to the Spanish steps. Make sure to visit Stadio dei Marmi next to the Olimpico. Dubious history but statues and stuff worth checking out.
Internationals, especially meaningless ones, ruin everything. I'd much rather they had a season. May and June, get momentum and atmosphere. This stop start craic is like half blowing up a balloon every month.
Thought the whole show suffered today. Zero interest in Shakiras divorce.
Jesus that’s a desperately uninformed opinion on McGinn. He’s a brilliant performer for Scotland.
