Yeah, I understand that but I'm still amazed that one guy and a launcher can just take out an aircraft like that. It's like if infantry had a magic gun that could just take out tanks. Yes, I know that magic gun exists (nlaw) but still it's insane what the right equipment can do. We live in an age where one soldier can take out even the most advanced war vehicles. It's almost like good equipment in the 21st century is what matters and not numbers of troops.
On a related note, I feel a bit bad for those conscripts. The Ukrainians have shown that they are disciplined and agile. Meanwhile, the Russians are far from disciplined and are taking orders directly from Putin and don't think for themselves (ww2 was the same). The Russians will have a serious male deficit in their population soon. For westerners in their fifties, the Russian Bride market might have some great bargains in it.
Can't say I feel bad for them. Their inaction has already condemned them.

They appeared in every media outlet all over the world and the traill of the photos is documented and testified to by a Ukrainian medic of the highest humanitarian credentials.
