Did you use the HVAC at all on that 100% to 1% test?
I could easy see the HVAC using 5% in that sort of test and that is usually not reported on the trip meter
its generally off by about 3% for approx every trip of 75km to Dublin and then the same back
Thanks, but does the total kWhrs continue to increment over the lifetime?
Mike
No, the total is a cumulative of the 31 days in question only. Here’s mine for example.
I have it longer than 31 days so 95 kWh would be too low to be lifetime useage
Thanks for clarifying.
Is anybody using an app to track their total kWhrs and associated cost? If yes, what is the best one!
Thanks,
Newbie question, if someone opens their car and damages your Tesla door ,assuming Sentry was on would it record the registration plate? Or depends on the way you are parked??
Battery can be inquired through Scan My Tesla app and harness also required for Model 3
I have scanmytesla but haven't got around to getting the new harness yet, still have my Model S harness actually
When a sentry mode is triggered, it would typically save the previous 6-8 minutes prior to the event that triggered the sentry event…. So there’d be a very good chance the car would be captured pulling in in that time.
Had a test drive today. What a car. Will be ordering mine soon. Need to figure out which colour, either blue or grey. Would absolutely get the red one but they decided to price it just to the point it escapes the grant, how unlucky.
The saga continues. i was pleased to see that you got a comfort level from speaking to the Tesla rep and that it would no longer be a distraction(obsession)...but seems likes its opened up the wound again.
I suggest you use the functionality in Trips ..preserve one for the cumulative performance, label it and don't delete or change that. for current trip or any other trips you wish to record you have those options
Depends on the parking. But if you have sentry on then the activation records 10 mins of footage.
So it depends if the cameras catch them pulling into the spot or leaving the spot.
A few people have been posting this on the FB group and they all caught the Reg plates.
Would this not affect wltp and therefore they are falsely advertising at present - I would not be happy with that additional 6kwh going missing - it doesn't sound right.
No I think you need Tesla to give you this in writing otherwise let them know you want battery to be remedied
Have they given you this in writing - also the wltp is 510kms with aero.
There is a possibility that your car for whatever reason has an additional buffer but if Tesla will not put that in writing that its the same for all cars they have there is a big issue as 52kwh will not do same distance as 55kwh - breaking their wltp advertising distance.
The ranges quoted and advertised by TESLA use the standardised global measurement, which sets out as a means of being able to compare and contrast different cars. I personally would not question that TESLA don't conform to this measuring syste but my strong belief is that this would be based on the full 100% capacity of the battery, not least for maximum marketing and also I assume common amongst all car manufactures. Buffer % is most likely a "prudent" battery management practice operated by Tesla. No place do TESLA make any claims that the WLTP approximate to actual driving range which has so many variables. Suggestions of putting things in writing are in my humble opinion a distraction.
"The WLTP driving cycle is divided into four parts with different average speeds: low, medium, high and extra high. Each part contains a variety of driving phases, stops, acceleration and braking phases. For a certain car type, each powertrain configuration is tested with WLTP for the car’s lightest (most economical) and heaviest (least economical) version."
For what its worth ....I can understand frustrations and disappointment if people formed other views/expectations...but it is what it is.
Enjoy your cars ....
I already do this and have scan my tesla for the same reason. See my old post below.
I played with tessie last year but didn't convinced me to keep the subscription. I have plans to get Teslalogger but didn't get the chance to look into it.
Did any one had problems with Tesla app earlier today , unable to disable Sentry, unable to lock unlock the car remotely or and phone key was not working basically? Around 1 pm or so ?
Hi All
while there is no issue with it yet I am getting ready for my 12 v battery to fail and am thinking of replacing it it with a li ion battery.
can we buy that battery from Tesla or is there anywhere we can source one from?
This is what I am getting- started the ‘clock’ on 1/1/2021 - the new tyres had a lower rolling resistance than the original fits. Hope that might help others
Forgot to add mine is a 2020 LR
AWD
As above. Plus all the accessories has to be redesigned to work from the different voltage rather than the traditional 12v.
It’s not a like for like swap from what I understand it.
eh ok thanks for you valuable input. These are genuine concerns and my questions are very valid seeing as some of the cars delivered in September seem to have a larger buffer than others. Therefore they are not the "same" even though they were sold under the "same" advertising. You just continue on your fanboy way and "enjoy your car". You seem to pick up on all my posts and have something really unhelpful to say if i dare question Tesla on anything. Good luck.
exactly - my car was sold on the website under the same WLTP as those that have been delivered to others with a smaller buffer. On a 52kWH usable battery it is simply not possible to achieve the range as advertised.
As i said it would be helpful if others could post some information on how they are seeing the usable battery in any September 2022 RWD M3's. Or even call Tesla for confirmation.
I have not received it in writing however i had a lengthy phonecall with the technician who confirmed my pack (and the one he had delivered himself last week) has a buffer of 6kWh and usable battery of 52kWh.
I have a March 2022 RWD. I did a full charge today from ~33%; it took 39kWh which works out at 58.2kWh for a full pack.
Some day people might actually thank me for my investigation.
Until then I'll just keep trucking on breaking news to the community as and when I uncover it.
Keep strong my friends.
Bear in mind budget is Tuesday and earlier rumours were of a planned scaling back of SEAI grant.

I haven’t done my Tesla seats yet as to be honest they are spotless but I done white seats in another car.
This is one spray and wipe.
