Simple answer no, Or the current crop of troops would have been rotated and refreshed. There gear only seems to be getting worse not better. Some here would have you believe there is bunkers of amazing kit they refuse to use. Supplying them with a simple AK seems difficult seen by the various weapons they have been given.

I hope that the US (and the rest of the west) will increase the amount of aid given to Ukraine to help them in any case. Good air defenses would be a great thing I would think.
