I heard Beyoncé had Slane booked but gave the date up and Harry then took it. I would assume Croke Park is hard to book for next year because of GAA in June?. She will probably skip Ireland.
Adele is rumoured to tour Europe and I would guess Taylor Swift will too.
Yeah Croke Park and the Aviva would definitely be considered for those acts
Are they even available though? It’s a bit odd nothing has been announced for those venues yet. Beyoncé’s dates are leaking, she is playing Italy in June, so the Slane rumour was probably true.
If it’s true about U2 touring, they will probably have a night or 2 at Croke, so maybe one of these acts will take the other night if 3 is the limit next year.
The GAA calendar will determine a lot and for the Aviva it will be the FAI/IRFU etc

That was because they added a second date. I think the first date sold out.
The first date sold alright, would have been a sellout in the aviva, upper tiers were mostly comps but one croke park gig was ambitious, 2 was insanity.
Seems GAA intercounty calendar looking to be extended now too with the football final planned for last weekend in July.

Jeez I remember that, shambolic. Radio stations were giving out truckloads of tickets to anyone who wanted them. I 'won' three pairs which I gave to different friends. I remember before the massive giveaway that it looked like both nights were around 60% sold so it was a huge miscalculation.
Croker tends to draw some of the biggest revenues on European tours - if I remember correctly, Coldplay drew the most out of Croke Park on their last tour that came through - but you really need to fill it and know you're going to fill it.
I had a drinking buddy at the time who was relatively high up in Ticketmaster, he was walking around the pub in the days before handing out tickets like sweets, I was texting exes and everything, but everyone I texted already won 4!!!!

I doubt it. There's really only a handful of touring artists that would sell it out these days.
He was supposed to do a Euro UK arena tour this year leaving out Dublin because the show configuration was not suited to the 3Arena (SSE Arena Belfast was included) but he cancelled it due to wanting to do a Stadium tour instead
He's easily marlay park level.
He would be a solid longitude headliner and wouldn’t be shocked if he is announced for that
