Watching the various videos on social media, the arrests in Moscow this evening were far more violent than the ones in March. Lots of shots of riot police beating and punching the protesters which didn't happen with the original protests.
Hard to know, another tweet is saying something entirely different.
This is the Ukrainan unmanned watercraft that turned up in occupied svastaspol earlier today...
It is still a hard grind in Kherson. I'm waiting for them to go in with overwhelming force. They need to do this and the west needs to help them asap.
These people have been through hell. It's uplifting to see the odd ray of light like this.
Will be interesting to hear if she talks about how the Russians treated them. Likewise the English guys who were released
Yet probably truth there.
Anyone understand Russian?
Looks like a friend or brother there knows what's occurring.
This is what I expect too. Some protests and arrests this week, and a week from now nothing. It will become normal, and fear will keep others quiet
Thought Biden looked incredibly weak today at the UN both physically and mentally. Would have expected him at the very least to call for the removal of Russia from the security council, let Iran off the hook also.
2/10
One of the female medics Birdie captured in Azoztal was freed earlier with some of the foreign POWs also from Azoztal ..
Not a chance unfortunately.
so those 3 areas are going to "vote" to become part of Russia, then they become part of Russia and that's it... the US and Europe are prob gonna tell Ukraine not to fight and just to let them away with it..... That's probably it ??
So many lives lost over something so needless
Maybe some good news at least...
Yea you could be right, but them protests would have been from well motivated activists against the war, where now people who probably where in different or maybe just wanted to keep their head down might be more motivated to protest.
However, like I said probably wishful thinking from me...
Agafiya Lykova will have to start doing AirBnB
Meanwhile the 2nd best military in the world, the Ukrainan navy managed to get an unmanned watercraft drone close the Russian naval base in occupied svastaspol earlier today un detected
Hopefully the protests might be a slow burner, its not like here in the west where people are free to protest. People in Russia are not used to protesting, many people just keep their heads down low on these things
When mothers see their sons being forced into this war and people dont see any other options, protests might start kicking off in a bigger way. Probably wishful thinking though.
Ukraine has to keep fighting, otherwise Russia would do this again in three years' time. They'd gobble Ukraine up, a piece at a time.
Putin might not be around by then, but it could be some other nut job who's worse because they actually know what they're doing.
But yeah, declaring the captured areas Russian and dire warnings against invading sovereign Russian territory seems to be the plan. The problem for Putin and us all tbh is when the bluff is called he either has to back down or follow through.
This didn't take long,so much for Iranian drones turning the tide against the Ukrainian
In Moscow ???
Seen more people at a black Friday sale tbh.
Squid squid squid
Ah, you've shown us yours Addmagnet - do you want to sea mine?
There's been thousands protesting across 30 + cities and it's only starting..
But ,but , but
What is it?
Kherson continues to be a meat grinder for both sides.
The Iranians are dousing the cops with petrol and lighting them up ...
But I've seen a video where a bunch of cops on mopeds cornered a few women and waited for the heavies to arrive who whipped and beat them.
Where in Russian they are brainwashed not to challenge authority or the police
New prisoners swap between Russia and Ukraine, one of released - head of the Mariupol patrol police Mykhailo Vershinin
They might both be partially occupied, contested areas, at the moment?
Unfortunately that's the bottom line. The reality is Putin is still massively popular is Russia and a few hundred on the streets isn't going to change anything.
I won’t be excited about protests until I see mass mass protests, let’s not forget there were 10s of 1000s in this small country alone protesting Covid rules and it’s fair to say they weren’t exactly representing the mood of the nation.
Protests don’t mean much until they escalate and start becoming epic.
