Still in prison. What an eejit bless his heart
Wouldnt surprise me if he lasted 3 Monarchs, 6 PMs and 7 Taoisigh in prison
By which time he could be on to his second Taoiseach
Speak of the devil. Anyhow why is he being represented by his brother? I thought Ammi was the only lawyer.
Aaah lookit, you’ll always get those headbangers.
Often wonder how they get so much time off work.😕
Yeah. Apart from the extremist hatemongering far right crazies supporting him outside Mountjoy.
Hmmmm…… seems to be quite driven lad, Q, so I would not rule anything out.
Would he be on the Labour before Xmas??
Is the lad a fan of the Xmas stuff or is he just a driven lad, driven the wrong way judging from his family background?
You never know with these lads.
I don't think he'll see another Monarch before he gets out , but I'd say you could get pretty decent odds on him seeing another British PM before he decides to purge his contempt to be home for Christmas.
Oh, is Charles not well?
That would be a great Trivia question in future..
Yep. Hes been in there for two Birtish monarchs and two prime minsters. Might even make a third at this rate.
All gone very quiet. He’s there a month now isn’t he?
it would. The legal aid rate is the bottom of the barrel rate.
€1000 would be cheap. Very cheap.

He was ordered to pay both sides costs
No kidding, would have thought that manipulation of the justice system like that would have some backstops.
Mmmmkay pal.
Hes defending himself afaik.
as he is paying costs for both sides then it wont be cheap. hard to say for definite but even the legal aid refresher fee for a high court appearance is €1000 for a junior barrister.
Anyone have any idea how much an appearance before the High Court costs each time?
After all, Enoch is only on a teacher's salary. :)
Judges dont generally behave like schoolchildren in a sulk.
Of course, the more of the courts time he wastes, the higher the chance the judge is too busy to see him when he finally relents.....
he can ask at any time to go back to court to purge his contempt. If he woke up tomorrow and decided he had enough he could be out the same day.
Would probably say you are correct.
Would be a bit strange if the lad could decide anytime he likes to jack out of the BIG HOUSE.
I’d say maybe give him a window sometime after Xmas to see if he wants to purge.
Fair enough and not wasting the courts time.
I believe so, I cant quote the staute or anything, but since it's a judicial order, the judge must be the one to offer him the chance to purge, similarly the judge must be there if he decides to purge.
Will he have scheduled appearances? Court time is valuable (and costly, if he's brought there in person rather than just video link). If he has said "I'm not going to purge my contempt because... freeman of the land bad law woo and/or it's an affront to my religion", will the court not just go "Fair enough, so, let us know if you change your mind"?
He'll have scheduled appearances where he'll be given the option to purge his contempt, But at any time he can request an audience with the judge to do so of his own volition.
I was wondering the same. I'd assumed there would be some kind of review process?
In terms of his detention.
When does he go back before a Judge? Does he just stay there until he asks to see the Judge again or is there a scheduled "check-in" back with the court where he is formally asked if he wishes to purge the contempt?
Just wondering what the process is as time passes.
So Enoch is still in jail. Very good.
