I take you cannot disprove their claim.
No .
Putin will just throw Russian men at the problem rather than admit defeat. Sad old man. Its just gonna get uglier and lot more men women and children are going to die. Just horrible all round. Who knows what he will revert too as things worsen.
It's been clear Russia are running this invasion on 70s/80s tech and don't have the know how and logistics to get the invasion done in days like they originally claimed, they have been badly exposed. It will take a while before these mobilized men reach the front and by that time it will be winter where the evening are dark early and its a lot colder. Will these men have proper winter gear and night vision equipment? Very doubtful, Russia will struggle to keep them fed, they'll tell them to kill and loot the Ukrainian citizens belongings.
The last propaganda release was they claimed that Ukraine has lost half of its 200k force while Russia lost only 6k. There would be no need to mobilize more men if that was true. Russian citizens are realizing this and protesting this mobilization, this is how regime change happens. Putin has alienated Russia from the west and economically its going to hit everyone hard, I would love to see him overthrown and hanging from a lamppost but thats wishful thinking, all I can see is a lot more death in the coming months.
"A lot of you may die, thats a risk I'm willing to take." Putin probably.
Well, in fairness he didn't say they were 'nuclear' sea mines, he said sea mines or something similar
Only outside NATO controlled airspace.
If there was any real treat of a Nuclear attack no Russian aircraft would get within 100 miles of a NATO border and no Russian Aircraft would get further than starting their engine on an Airfield in Kaliningrad.
There ha been some reports.... maybe ...could be .... yadayada yada
What type of nuclear sea mine has russia deployed of the Irish coast ? as suggested by greenpilot
I remember someone here saying once that NATO intelligence probably has a good idea what Putin has for dinner of an evening. Whether that's true I certainly don't know, but NATO intelligence seems ably to have predicted all of Putin's moves on the battlefield so far. Going by that trend, I have to think they know exactly what loitering Russian subs have been up to. If WE know about it, then NATO intelligence can only know a whole lot more.
Which has nothing to do with the fact that they could deliver an air launched nuclear strike
Not so fictional apparently
So what is this nuclear sea mine called ? how does t operate? what is its yield.
If someone comes up with a plausible source stating nuclear sea mines are an actual thing and they are of the Irish coats near sea cables I will hold my hands up and apologise. If not I will file this under "' could be in the next call of duty game''
Because they were allowed to do that. More telling was the 10 seconds they spent in Turkish airspace before they were dead.
You're going on as if these weapons don't exist?
Read the very last line of the History paragraph. If it was possible in 1964, I'm certain a more modular and secure version has been created since then.

Exactly my look when he mentioned fictional nuclear sea mines
not impossible... Russian bombers skirted just outside the 12 mile mark of the UK and Ireland as recent as earlier this year...
They are regularly known to buzz NATO warships with bomb doors open (and did so to UK frigates if media is to be believed).
There were also SU-24's in Kaliningrad spotted earlier in the year with nuclear capable cruise missiles off the coast of Sweden, and obviously Baltic countries...
Would most likely be a suicide mission though
So what type of nuclear sea mine is used by the Russians near the Irish Coast?
It’s disappeared off the radar now 😢
My partner works in a data centre that maintains said cables and has overheard that exact scenario being discussed.
It's not impossible nor unlikely in my opinion.
It's OK, you're late to the party.
..
Thank you! And I was scoffed at when I mentioned this back in March!
Yes into Ukraine, but impossible into NATO skies.
It's not beyond them to attack a neutral country.
Seriously ?
So you think Russia has nuclear sea mines of the Irish Coast?
sums it up quite well ... wonder if all the Russian's in Cyprus and Germany who protested would be willing to go back
One can imagine too that many Russian men will be doing everything possible to avoid the draft. Who on earth would want to be sent to Ukraine to die for Putin in a meaningless war?
Nothing to stop N. Korea or China doing that back to Russia. Or Pakistan either. Maybe even the NATA countries bordering Russia could take a few kms and say to Putin et al to piss off or they'll press the button
Putin getting desperate
Read the thread posted above from Gen. Hertling, then get back to us about how many they can mobilize.
Might as well give them sticks and tell them to go lay down in front of that 60 ton tank the US may provide
It's like the joke posted a few days back - Putin's plan is to deploy soliders in pairs. One throws rocks, the other shouts "Bang!"
This won't be over anytime soon anyway. Can Ukraine win it without western intervention which will lead to all out war? I don't think so, the sheer number Russia can mobilize will surely overcome them eventually.
Pretty much the way i see it also but who knows.
General Mark Hertling's expert analysis of the calling up of 300,000 reservists. He reckons it will mostly be a disaster and achieve next to nothing (Russian army is poorly trained, poorly led and morale is very low).
