Considering Russia has spent an awful lot of time exploring underwater cables with various submarines it's entirely possible they could have some type of explosives laid to damage or sever cables.

Nuclear sea mines ?
Indiana Jones has a lot to answer for for giving the game away.
The Americans had nuclear landmines .
Anything is possible
That's "Theoria Apophasis/The Angry Photographer". He's a loon. He's gone off the deep end in terms of Covid & government conspiracies, etc. Even his photography gear reviews - which is what he's supposed to be doing on YouTube - make little sense.
Wonder how many adults will struggle to answer this math question.
Is this buck heading out to join the party?
General Mark Hertling's expert analysis of the calling up of 300,000 reservists. He reckons it will mostly be a disaster and achieve next to nothing (Russian army is poorly trained, poorly led and morale is very low).
Pretty much the way i see it also but who knows.
This won't be over anytime soon anyway. Can Ukraine win it without western intervention which will lead to all out war? I don't think so, the sheer number Russia can mobilize will surely overcome them eventually.
Read the thread posted above from Gen. Hertling, then get back to us about how many they can mobilize.
Might as well give them sticks and tell them to go lay down in front of that 60 ton tank the US may provide
It's like the joke posted a few days back - Putin's plan is to deploy soliders in pairs. One throws rocks, the other shouts "Bang!"
Putin getting desperate
Nothing to stop N. Korea or China doing that back to Russia. Or Pakistan either. Maybe even the NATA countries bordering Russia could take a few kms and say to Putin et al to piss off or they'll press the button
One can imagine too that many Russian men will be doing everything possible to avoid the draft. Who on earth would want to be sent to Ukraine to die for Putin in a meaningless war?
sums it up quite well ... wonder if all the Russian's in Cyprus and Germany who protested would be willing to go back
Seriously ?
So you think Russia has nuclear sea mines of the Irish Coast?
It's not beyond them to attack a neutral country.
Yes into Ukraine, but impossible into NATO skies.
Thank you! And I was scoffed at when I mentioned this back in March!
..
It's OK, you're late to the party.
My partner works in a data centre that maintains said cables and has overheard that exact scenario being discussed.
It's not impossible nor unlikely in my opinion.
It’s disappeared off the radar now 😢
So what type of nuclear sea mine is used by the Russians near the Irish Coast?
not impossible... Russian bombers skirted just outside the 12 mile mark of the UK and Ireland as recent as earlier this year...
They are regularly known to buzz NATO warships with bomb doors open (and did so to UK frigates if media is to be believed).
There were also SU-24's in Kaliningrad spotted earlier in the year with nuclear capable cruise missiles off the coast of Sweden, and obviously Baltic countries...
Would most likely be a suicide mission though
Exactly my look when he mentioned fictional nuclear sea mines
You're going on as if these weapons don't exist?
Read the very last line of the History paragraph. If it was possible in 1964, I'm certain a more modular and secure version has been created since then.

Because they were allowed to do that. More telling was the 10 seconds they spent in Turkish airspace before they were dead.
So what is this nuclear sea mine called ? how does t operate? what is its yield.
If someone comes up with a plausible source stating nuclear sea mines are an actual thing and they are of the Irish coats near sea cables I will hold my hands up and apologise. If not I will file this under "' could be in the next call of duty game''
