I take it you don't have kids then 🤦♀️ You wouldn't say something so ridiculous if you have had young kids at some stage in your life.
I take it you haven't read my comments. Try again.
We rarely did that. Donegal Town and Letterkenny are excellent.
My apologies, I think I misunderstood the regs., 'total rise' of no more than 600mm.
Legal or not, I would not buy that house just because of the stairs - they would give me nightmares.
@Suckler too young to have kids, I'd wonder about the thankers also.
that kind of house is a good way off the peak i think, but lower priced houses do appear to be at peak prices.
Fancy spending the winter in a log cabin in someone's garden for 850 a month, in a town with relatively feck all employment?

That stairs wouldn't be allowed in a workplace as it has what is known as an 'unprotected edge'.
The danger for adults and anybody bigger than a toddler is not that they'd fall through them, it's that they'd fall off the edge where there is no handrail.
If they retracted up and down and tilted into a slide, I might be interested. 🤔😁
Cool design
Try them in a pair of socks. It would be as good as a slide. 😀
The answer is a stairgate that latch/locks on the side away from any child. I love those stairs!.
Actually yes. The line " fully insulated ? And new build. . Modern insulation is excellent ..LOVE this cabin! Not keen on being in someone's garden...
Liking the look of them versus liking the practicality of them are two very different things.
Apologies if I'm guessing your age wrong but I think you said before you were in or around 80 years of age. While admittedly I don't know much about your physical capabilities, I reckon those stairs might pose a challenge for the average 80 year old. I know my own mother is 79 and I wouldn't feel comfortable with her going up or down those stairs.
For your tactful kindness thank you.. I never think of my personal circumstances when commenting on these houses.. and actually they would be fine. Well lit and a good hand rail,,, The last place I rented had a corkscrew staircase with no light.. or hand rail,,, That was... interesting..
I dont know where you would get a stair gate that would suit those stairs! You would need a stair gate at the bottom and some protection also at the side - really what you would need is a banister and spindles or panels. You may as well put in a normal stairs if you have to go to that trouble.
Good grief, the living room is like a corridor with a sofa. For 850 a month 😲
Yes I just realised that myself! I still love the stairs though!
I keep an eyes on rental prices and they are way high these days. Check rent ie or daft. I love the cabin! And it would be so snug in winter.
It's got a decent ber rating, but I'd be asking to see the cert. 😂
Why? My home is of similar build materials and the insulation is wonderful.. These are modern constructions. Nit like the old days,,
This listing is just wild, from start to finish.
$250,000,000 penthouse that was just listed in NYC.
At 1,416 ft above ground, the 17,545 sq ft home has a 1500 sq ft salon and almost 2k sq ft ballroom, along with 7 bd, 8.555 ba and 1,433 sq ft of outdoor space.
Common charges and taxes are $74,638/month.
Why are they doing a fashion shoot with the estate agents?
Just scroll down to the monthly cost, including mortgage.
The euromillions is only €175M tonight so it will have to rollover a couple times more before I put in a bid.
I don't think there is 1 thing I like about this house! Corner toilet makes the bathroom look claustrophobic. The floors would give me a headache and the stairs!!! Yikes!
You just know things are headed the wrong direction when even the "thankers" are being called out.
chuckles!
That is primed for some Arab sheikh or Oligarch to buy. Over 1m a month in repayments/taxes/charges, jesus
I was just thinking the same thing 😀
You could buy a house every month with what you'd spend on taxes and charges. Mad
