Does anyone have an opinion as to the most important defences to learn? I know any of them could come up in a problem question but are there any in particular that come up a lot as essays? Thanks. Or any I could omit?
Is anyone else’s Judicial Review answer for EU extremely long? Finding it a bit confusing what’s relevant & what isn’t
JR is hard to wrap your head around and even when you do you'll find the EU examiner only asks specific types of JR q's. Look back through examiner reports and you'll see is often the same essay and PQ that comes up so its al you need to learn. Ive sent you one years answer where an essay came up and another which has the ZooZoo JR problem q.
I've done provocation, intoxication and duress. I know a little bit of insanity but it came up in the last exam so I don't know that it will feature greatly. On the City Colleges night before notes, the lecturer mentioned defence of the property in passing so perhaps a case or two on lawful use of force.
what are people covering for constitutional? thinking of leaving out due course of law but unsure
Thank you!!!
Same, left out examinership.
@AA21 I also done an essay style answer on the distinction between an LTD and a DAC.
I think I will try cover Due Course of Law tbh but maybe just Access to a Solicitor and/or delay
Finding it difficult to cut anything at present. So far only thing I'm cutting is the Oireachtas but I'd like to cut out more 😂
What is everyone honing in on? I have -
Am I mad to leave out arrest, detention, bail etc? It's so boring.
Same as! I'm cutting Oireachtas/president/AG .. international law, and due course of law.. its just too unpredictable 😓
I was thinking of leaving our presumption of innocence as it was a big part of a q last sitting? (10 marks I think) I’m not sure if I should throw it in last minute.
what are people focusing on for Actus Reus and mens rea? Trying to narrow it down a bit 😅
Has anyone got a copy of the recent cases with facts for Constitutional Law ?
doing the same and If I have time - realisation of corporate assets!
Can anyone remember what came up in the last property sitting? Thanks!
Yeah I might leave out the President and the AG.
wont be doing international law either or inviolability of the dwelling.
I think Equality I will just learn a few cases to pop into questions and hope it doesn't come up a full Q like it did in March 2022.
Trial in due course of law and related chapters I think I will be attempting a very condensed version of this, like a couple of cases for Access to a Solicitors etc... likewise a very condensed version of right to silence and right to a jury trial, liberty etc.
Any particular case notes people are focusing on for constitutional? seems to be so many possibilities!
For anyone doing company law and learning winding up here is a case from September 2022 that could be incorporated into your answer:

Anyone have the October 2021 EU Paper please?
Anyone doing the company exam online - is there any checking of the permitted legislation for the exam? I know that for the in person sitting they check the permitted legislation prior to the exam - just wondering how this works for sitting exams virtually??
No there is no checking of legislation. Anytime I referred to permitted pieces of legislation in the online exams I just spoke into the camera saying I was referring to it.
Hey everyone, does anyone have an up to date exam grid for constitutional - I have materials I could swap. thanks in advance
At the beginning of the Property exam I showed the camera my legislation, just flicked through the pages with it open to the camera so they could see nothing was in it and there was no writing, that seemed to have been acceptable as I heard nothing to the contrary. Planning on doing the same for Company, probably would save you having to comment aloud every time you look down at the Act or whatever.
Hi does anyone have Tort Exam Papers and Examiner Reports from 2021 and the 2022 March Exam Paper they could send to me, please?
What are people covering for Tort??
I think it would be near impossible to predict but I suppose some of the newer cases might feature and you are probably learning them anyway - like NP & Burke and Friends of the Irish Environment etc
probably a stupid question but what case is NP?😅
NP & Burke is just the one case - to do with the predicted exam grades but also relevant to executive power and right to education etc its a 2020/2021 case so could be on his radar in some form - completing speculating as I have never sat the exam before so I am not sure his usual method for the case note Q - tbh I haven't even considered being able to do the case note Q, I have completely written it off 😂
Hey people,
Would anyone have copies of the property exams and/or reports in 2020 and 2021? I have from 2010-2019 and would be willing to share in exchange (alongside notes for property and other subjects).Would be great if someone could help me out! Thanks
I am covering the exact same topics, we would be very very unlucky to not have 5 questions out of them..... fingers crossed
