I wouldn't get my hopes up, I doubt anything will come of it even if true. Putin's demands will be he keeps Crimea and most territories captured including Kherson and Mariupol, and if he wanted to keep the Zaporizhzhia NPP, that wouldn't surprise me at all.. He doesn't do reasonable. so no chance the Ukrainians will agree.
There has been talk that they might go down the crazy route of attempting to force pro-Ukraine men in the occupied regions to put on the Russian uniform and fight against Ukraine.
Hopefully you are right, and this story would provide some weight to it.
On the one hand talking about ending the war, on the other talking about mobilization and increasing the penalties for deserting / surrendering etc. Same old, same old Vlada.
C-Rams would be just as effective and are mounted on truck beds quicker and easier to transport, without the need for multiple launchers and radars to be set up
As the Ukrainians continue to reclaim their stolen, destroyed territory and liberate their traumatised citizens, I believe we will come to see a "completely different side" to Putin.
As his buttocks get branded, he will reveal that all he ever really wanted was to put his feet up in front of the fire and stroke his cat.
The worst I'll do tomorrow is park illegally, Putin will continue to force radical anatomical reconstruction on innocent people via high velocity bullets and/or shrapnel.
Russian administration obviously didn't plan for a war that would run through the year and into the following winter. It's gone all wrong for them on multiple fronts but Ukraine have the incentive to keep battling and restore all their territory. They've taken so much destruction and death at this stage, that they're in it for the long haul as long as 'the west' keeps supports up. What a hole the Russians have dug themselves into.
The 'end the war now' guys don't seem to realise that this would mean rewarding Russia for their invasion and allowing them to keep Mariupol and Kherson. The war has to go on until Russia have been driven out of Ukraine.
Yeah, out of Ukraine and out of Crimea. Then maybe relinquish their nukes. Then maybe start talking about Hague tribunals (lovely that the Ukrainian military has the Wagner goons website contents.) After all that, perhaps some relaxation of sanctions.
And f*ck off from Sevastopol. Keep your tinpot navy on RuSSias coast.
Nobody is falling for that. The west has Putin on the run. Time to chase the Russians to the border
The French Foreign Ministry: The war on Ukraine is a war of aggression chosen by Russia without justification
You are right. Far more cost effective for small incoming ordnance. Sky Sabre would be overkill cost wise but is nice in being an all in one solution and has that wonderful detection range.
I knew that 7 months ago. It took the French civil service 7 months to come to the same conclusion? Are you sure it wasn't the NHS?
Are these referendums a sign of panic from Moscow? I don't see how they change anything even if 107% vote in favour.
The war will be now be fought on what Russia considers its own territory, thus allowing for 'full mobilisation' rather than the 'SMO' they are currently doing. This tallies with the updates to laws today concerned with facilitating this step, and with announcements just made by Belarus that they will go to full readiness.
This is a really bad development for everyone concerned.
I agree an all in one layered system would be great,
They won't be there long enough 😉
Hopefully you are right. It would be good if the Ukrainians could manage another breakthrough like they did at Kharkiv asap.
Yes, they're just waiting for their chance to invade their neighbours and murder millions of minorities, aren't all the signs there?
It could be a tactic to draw the Ukrainans into Kherson in a hope they can take out big numbers,
Lukashenka ordered to strengthen the defense of Belarus and prepare for wartime norms - to check the readiness of military units and people's militias
looks like Belarus are preparing to actively enter the war
I hope Nato have a quick chat with Lukashenko and remind him what could happen if he crosses the Ukrainan border
Would that bring in Poland? They seemed to be itching for a reason early in this war.
Oh come on, you say that every time you post a tweet about them extending drills or moving groups to the border etc...
This is deadly the map of middle earth earth ..

The most optimistic assessment I've heard so far, begins at 7.00 mins
I suspect that Lukashenko will make all the right noises but stop just short of actually sending his troops across the border.
The reason for that is simple: he doesn't trust his own people not to topple him and needs his full security forces to ensure he can cling to power.
Yes, he's been making the same supportive noises since the start of the "special military operation" but if he was going to join in he would have day one surely. Joining the war now when it looks less successful would make no sense.
Russia is morally defeated no matter what happens in this war.
