Looks like another batch of Iranian drones will make their way to Ukraine.
I think this is called The Alligator
That's quite the clarification - 20km!!!!
There huge compared to a barret or Ai .50
It was always a ludicrous claim.
Time for some real news, Yarova confirmed as liberated.
I believe the new US designated sniper rifle has actually dropped in calibre.
Ouch
They use different calibers for different roles, 7.62/.308 ,.338 and .50 rifles are in armories, we have similar
I wonder if he was told to say that seems very much specific, oh were not there w are actually 20km away..
Which means they are there but not publicising it yet ...
I am aware of that, which is why I said 'designated'. The US army is retiring the M107 0.50 caliber and the new MRAD is replacing it, which can use 3 different calibers all of which are smaller - .300 Norma Magnum, .338 Norma Magnum and 7.62x51 mm.
Well the designated marksman rifles is usually 5.56/7.62 and the 50 bmg is an anti material rifle, same as the alligator
The sniper calibers are usually 338 lapua magum or norma magnum
They are keeping the .50s
They were never meant to be sniper rifles in squads or special ops they are Anti material rifles hence why they are being used to this day and in the future.
I certainly agree with quality over quantity, my initial comment was if I were Taiwan I'd want the weapons actually in Taiwan. There has been talk of weapons paid for and announced but as yet undelivered. Once they're on the island they can be used if necessary. Sitting in a warehouse in the States, or not even yet made is a less than ideal situation for the potential victim.
Penetrates 10 mm armor plates at a distance of 1.5 km.
The maximum range is 7 km.!!!
Listen for the impact at 0:22
Surrendering Russians?
Russian soldiers caught between Ukraine’s Armed Forces and right bank of Dnipro River seek ways to surrender – Operational Command Pivden (South) | Ukrainska Pravda
Yes but they are consolidating rifles such as the various 556 dmr ,m14/ebr ,sr20 and m110 semi automatics which for most part were terrible in country
Interesting Russian opinion poll on how the Special Military Operation is going with a breakdown for the army, army reserve, ministry of defence, etc. The Russian government figures like Shoigu provide the most negative reaction. The Russian main army polls the highest.
No mention of Putin at all. No one ever questions the Russian president.
The browning M2 machine gun and the barret rifle would have similar, the M2 has an effective kill range of 4.5 miles /7.4 km ,
But you can use hot rounds individual loaded that can give better range than your standard ball ammo
Looks like the so called Donbas region is starting to panic now demanding immediate referendums to join Russia ,
A sign that the Ukrainians are knocking at the door,
I'm sure people are going to be annoyed
Even if that sham of a referendum were to be held, I fail to see what purpose it would serve. It wouldn't mean that Russia was about to use nukes because an 'integral part of Russia was being attacked'. He knows what's really up. It wouldn't discourage Ukrainian attacks. They also know what's really up. The rest of the world would look at the referenda as a desperate and pithy bit of political theatre designed to convince no-one. A clutch of countries might recognise it - i.e. the Russian vassal states. The ones where the leaders have been in power for 30 years and wear comically large military hats.
Another collaborator killed
Slovenia are donating 28 M55-S tanks. I had never heard of these so decided to Google.
This was the first link I found. Apparently this is an upgraded T55.
For **** sake.
We do, and have won the international intra-armed forces sniper competition a few times too.
Occupation authorities in parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine say "members of public chambers" call for hold referendums on annexation by Russian Federation immediately
Jesus wept.
It'd be interesting, if things get that far, to see just how much Russia will stand by their "brothers" in occupied territory or whether they would just abandon them to their fate.
They kept 2 for themselves, obviously the maintenance was more than they are worth
It's a capable vehicle ,the fact around 30,000 still in existence says alot about the them,
28 m55s along with at least another 100 + Russian tanks captured in the last week or two ,
They are gaining more operational tanks than Russia can replace
Chances of a nuclear war are tiny, i'd say circa 1%. Chances of Putin sending the order to use a nuclear weapon and getting carted off in a wooden box are as good as 99%.
