There's not many 200 year old stone built farmhouses left.
That poured concrete floor might be a problem.
It is an unusual build style, and has Grant's and funds available to assist buyer to refurbish
I'd buy it, but only if those paintings come with it.
Yeah Maggie would love that house. Herself and Ciaran would say its fit to move into as it is - just a lick a paint is all it would need in Maggies world. 🤣🤣
Shure Maggie wouldnt need any of that stuff
The Hunpty Dumpty theme above the fireplace
If you zoom out from it's location on the map, it truly is in the arse-end of nowhere, there's not a biggish town within a hundred km's.
It's literally 50km to Sligo.
This property does not disappoint! That staircase though...
Jaysis the stairs🤣. I hate the house - its very bland and sterile.
The cheap laminate throughout the whole place just looks like a glitch in the matrix.
If I was heading out for pints I'd leave a sleeping bag on the couch as I'd be too afraid to climb those stairs with a skinfull.
Wrong house or wrong map, it's over 120km to Sligo, about 15km from letterkenny
People in Donegal when they go shopping for most stuff head to Derry and also Letterkenny. Some things are a lot cheaper in Derry.
It was showing me a house in Leitrim, beside a lake, near Drumshanbo.
I wonder is it legal to have a stairs like that? Too easy to fall over the edge.
Be right craic running up or down it in your stocking feet.
The bath looks incredibly narrow too.
You're dead right Citizen, it was I who had the wrong house.
Apologies.
It's cool. Still wouldn't want to have to drive 50km and end up in Sligo 😂
Not seen a phone like that in a house in a long time
As long as the stairs have a riser of no more than 600mm 'guarding may not be essential', and may have a handrail on only one side if they have a width of more than 800mm and less than 1000mm.
So it's legal, but I'd not be keen, personally.
And the hi-fi system in the bedroom. I haven't seen one of those in years.
Damn, I was debating whether to write a 100 or 50km's to a town when I wrote my post. 😄
I think if you kept a boat at the lake, you could shave a few KMs off, by not having to go around.
600mm? That’s like 3 steps. Am I reading that wrong?
Plus those open treads don’t look legal.
What's all the talk about those stairs. They have a opening at the back big deal. Your not going to fall through them. You would walk up and down those stairs with ease. It's just they look open the way the pic is looking at them.
If the space between the open steps is more than 4 ins it’s illegal. A toddler’s head could squeeze through. The same with the space between spindles, the max is 4 ins.
Well if you have toddlers in your house be more careful and watch them and do not let them wander simple.
God no you couldn't have kids let alone toddlers in a house with them stairs. You just couldn't risk it. All it would take is too turn your head for a second for a serious accident to happen a kid on those stairs.
They look bloody awful aswell aside from the danger aspect.
Did you not read - It's simple you just be more careful and watch them.
Coming up next, teenage rebellion solved by telling them not to be so rebellious.
