I feel that there's going to be plenty "Fog of War" moments in a lot of the rumors and reporting of Ukrainian advances. The front-lines shown currently in the war tracking sites might be intentionally old data, and my hope is Ukraine are sharp enough to manipulate Russian tactics with misinformation of their own.
Like others here, I'd like to learn of Ukrainian advances sooner, but frustrating as it is I expect that we'll keep getting waves of no movement reported and the sudden advances forward many hours / days after the fact. My guess is that the Russian signals intelligance is piss-poor and little better than what we here on Boards can gleen from the available data. If we're blind to the real situation, then hopefully they are too, and that is no bad thing.
A sideways Z with a strike through it.... so that's where Aduf Putton got his Z nation idea from. Well, I'll be a flying banana!!!
British intelligence says the Russians might not be able to withstand constant attrition in E. Ukraine.
I don't have any problem with nazis in Ukraine because nazism began there as a reaction to Russian aggression. It is very much a case of 'my enemy's enemy is my friend'.
That's some statement
'I don't have any problem with nazis'
Seriously?
You can be against Neo Nazis and Russian aggression at the same time. This isn't some sports team your supporting
Would be great if the Russians indeed cannot.
geolocated just west of Lysychansk Ukrainian forces freely moving around not sounds of gunfire or heavy artillery.
Another day another Ukrainian town return to the fold .
The only one saying otherwise is graham Phillips which may explain where some are getting their information about what and where.
As we saw last week,oh the Ukrainans couldn't be there because the russian propagandist made a video possibly weeks ago showing he was there..
I was half poking fun at the original post... not really seeing anything in it myself, just one of those things.
More trouble for Russia, while the Human Rights group may not get very far, the story is getting a lot of media attention in Russia, surely something the Kremlin will not like.

Kadyrov needs paying, bítches! Ramboing a bunch of trees don't come cheap, y'all!
Russians claimed to have pushed back a Ukrainian attack on Kremina.
https://liveuamap.com/en/2022/19-september-occupation-authorities-in-donetsk-region-claimed
Now whether they do or didn't isn't the most interesting part for me. If Ukraine attacked Kremina, that would mean they have enlarged their bridgehead on that part of the Siversky Donetsk left bank. The video from yesterday of driving around Bilohorivka is on the opposite bank. So, there definitely have been some gains there in recent days. A Ukrainian push in that direction could potentially be targeting 3 places, Lyman to the west, Severodonetsk to the south east or even Svatove to the north. Of these, I think Lyman is the most logical.
I was looking at some streetview photos on Google of the land to the east of Svatove to get an idea of what the terrain was like. And I found this little gem https://www.google.com/maps/@49.2075642,38.5934076,3a,75y,13.07h,90.15t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipNddqDJbtQVtz0mABy6HQMLkwKNgLrrlweFGpw-!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipNddqDJbtQVtz0mABy6HQMLkwKNgLrrlweFGpw-%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-10-ya20-ro-0-fo100!7i10000!8i5000
If they are hitting Kremina, Lyman might have already fallen.
The Russians pulled the internet in Luhansk in reaction to protests by civilians against their men being taken away to fight in other oblasts. Perhaps the Ukrainians are trying to take advantage of that to spread word of defeats in order to destroy moral within the LNR.
And Slowblowin, you are trying to use this " One tiny piece of Nazi truth" to justify Putin's invasion of Ukraine? Why don't you put Russian Nazi's under the same microscope? Or do you believe that there are no Nazi's in Russia ? All of the "Z"zzzzzz stamped on Russian military equipment is accidental???
I know. Often involving wild and baseless speculation.
You also find the casual racism of the idiots talking about the humiliation of fighting "negroes" on Russian TV "a non issue"?
Didn't think so.
Racism is a pestilence wherever it is, whether Russia, Ukraine or Ireland.
A lot of it will be a fear of being viewed as "against Ukraine" in some aspect. It's very childish in all honesty. Mature adults can understand the discrepancy.
Problem is that Russia's list of smelly excuses for invading Ukraine included rubbish about how they had to root out nazi boogey-men that were posing a threat to Russia (and the wider world).
So, post Feb. in context of the invasion, anyone banging on about the far right element/neo nazis in Ukraine is echoing Russia's own war propaganda.
When the war has concluded (assuming Ukraine is still independent then, which looks more likely now) would be a more appropriate time to criticise them for any far right influence in the politics/military there etc.
Ah you probably know all this anyway...who am I kidding wasting my time posting it! 🤦♀️
Close call on the nuclear plant.
Crazy times we live in.
I wonder would of the visit between Putin and XI been a little different if the CBS interview was out a few days before they met. Biden confirmed troops would be used to defend Taiwan. Probably not but will be interesting in regards this situation. I know Taiwan are getting massive increase in military hardware from America and I say that will increase considerably soon in top of that. Imagine they get a few hundred anti ship missiles like Ukraine were supplied with and work so well and thousands and thousands of javelins etc for their infantry. You would wonder the cost then for China to invade. I also wonder will this stop them from invading or speed up their invasion plans. As why would you let them get supplied with billions of additional weapons etc. Plus it seems the Americans are telling Taiwan military these are the things you need you don't need more tanks etc. You need better radar and anti ship missles to blow them out of the sea before they arrive.
China are like a thug with knife waving it around acting the hard man at present. My guess is they will never invade Taiwan.
I was born in USSR in 80's, in school books, all black people were called 'ni@@ers'. A lot of older russians, east europeans call black people n-word, not because they are racists, but simply because they were educated this way (uneducated). I dont know how many times we had to explain this to our parents that they are called black people, they usually just laugh and dont see what the problem is
According to Wikipedia there were 10 cities in the Donbas with populations >100k, before this conflict, 4 in Luhansk Oblast and 6 in Donetsk. After 2014 five of these (2+3) were in control of Russian backed separatists. Earlier this year, that number was increased to eight (4 + 4) with Kramatorsk and Sloviansk being the final two hold-outs.
Now the tide has turned but since the gains have mostly been in Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts, so far, the number is still officially eight. If and when Lysychansk and Sievierdonetsk revert back to Ukrainian control then Mariupol will be the only city left in the Donbas that the Russians have gained control of this year.
That makes me think that that will be where the Ukrainians target next (with the added bonus that it would sever the land bridge to Crimea). It would likely be easier to go for that, rather than attacking heavily fortified cities with potentially unfriendly civilians.
Estonian Raimond Kaljulaid
Is Pretty clear about Estonias position vs Russia
The Ukrainans are hardly sitting around by the sounds and looks of it ,so much for russians having stablised the lines and were holding off the Ukrainans
Specialty: Brown shirts 😁
Many educated commentators think Putin is hoping for some sort of unplanned or unforeseen event to help change the chess board. Would “an accidental” nuclear power plant hit be such an event?
Russian’s will deny any responsibility regardless but could this me a more chaotic way to introduce a nuclear attack. Also it could actually happen “by accident” or negligence, which technically is different to intentional tactical nuclear strike, if not as damaging or more damaging.
One would think the international community may react slightly different to a nuclear power plant incident (that’s less obviously intentional) versus a clearly intended nuclear strike.
The prevailing winds blow east i.e. back into Mother Russia, so it would seem to be the most self-defeating tactic possible
Correction, black skinned people in the USSR were not called "ni@@ers". They were called negroes (ru: negry). Not the same word, not the same meaning.
