You can waste your time finding lots of examples, the same symbol is used in the Hindu and Buddhists religions, the point is its not on a tank engaged in a war which was started, according to Russia, to rid Ukraine of Nazis.
Ukraine obviously denies this, and I commented that I think its bad PR to have Nazi symbols on military hardware/personnel when the war was started on this very point.

Once again that is not and never has been a NAZI symbol. It is a symbol used by many armies and associations. You are confusing it with the Wermacht markings of WW2, even then it was not associated with NAZISM. It continues to be used today by the German army, post NAZI era and in fact was used by the German army long before there were and Nazis.

It does make sense if Ukrainian high command assess that some territory will be easier to retake than some other. What have Ukraine got the resources to able to do and what have Russia got?
It's been very pleasing to see Ukraine retake Kharkiv, but Kherson has proven a tougher proposition. If the Ukrainians cannot make any significant headway in the south or the Donbas, then the war settles into one of attrition, of wills, of resources and of national spirit. If Ukraine can make the right breakthroughs, then negotiation with compromises is unnecessary, but if it descends into a long term grind, negotiation with compromise becomes inevitable - just a matter of when.
I think we'll know by Christmas if this war is one that'll go on for years or not.
There were reports about a week ago about soldiers in Lysychansk, Severodonetsk and even Donetsk airport, but a total silence after that.
It seems the city of Lysychansk is now under Ukrainian control ,Severodonetsk is the next city over on the map

Azov did a great job in holding up a huge amount of Russian hardware and personnel, but that does not change their history or origins which is undeniable.
As I said PR is the way to win over the Russian people, and all these symbols that are aggravating to the normal people of Russia will not help get the result everyone wants.

That would be incredible news if true. Lysychansk is in an elevated position relative to where the Ukrainians had been so it should have been more difficult to attack.
