Honestly, the information is so easily and apparently debunkable, that it's better having then here then on twitter or Facebook, as they can be challenged directly. From memory (and I'll retract if wrong) said poster was up to similar on the Covid forum.
*400 bodies found in forest in shallow grave in warzone showing signs of torture.
"Ooooh I'll reserve judgement here, there could be a perfectly reasonable explaination for this. And we have to be extra super-dee-dooper careful about what we call it. Is it even a mass grave really?"
Mods need to start banning plonkers on sight. Why should anyone be exposed to this level of stupidity and dishonesty?
Not in this case,
You were the only one who tried to down play the mass graves, nobody else nothing more than an attempt at muddying the waters
"I was murdering civilians for the money, because I'm poor" doesn't cut it.
Rubbish - it is perfectly reasonable to suspend judgment till further details emerge. There are too many here ready to jump on any bandwagon and piece of news and extrapolate to the nth degree. Incidentally I dislike the patronising tone of your post.
Watch the downfall parody. The RuSSians control Fox news!
I do wonder if the russians studied Fox News
One of the best downfalls in awhile. Had me doubled over with laughter especially "Don't worry, Tulsi!"
Ah, look it… has mc and sean in his name, definitely legit, I be tinkin.
Are you for real ?
You're pretending to think that being pro citizens' lives equates to being pro war. Did you read that on the back of your Comrade Cornflakes cereal box ?
How come the syntax/language employed by you guys is ALWAYS just that little bit off ? - "upper surface of the morning to you, begorrah"
Sure. Which will presumably be a huge challenge for both sides. Was merely saying that Russian and Ukrainian winters are not guaranteed to be freezing the way they once were. I remember a few years ago fake snow had to be brought to Moscow for new year celebrations because temperatures were well above zero. If that had been the case in 1942 the war might have gone quite differently
“Had the railgun not been cancelled, that too would have been kinetic with the projectils travelling at hypersonic speeds of mach 7 and still travelling supersonic when impacting tagets at 100km away.”
Finally…
This is what I was asking about. Some people taking about ‘kinetic weapons’ as if that phrase alone was meant to mean something. Kinetic weapons have been discussed ever since David slew Goliath.
Anyhoooo… re this particular railgun (rail-guns aren’t new either) sounds interesting. Any info on it, because a weapon against hypersonic missiles sounds very important.
Can you expand, boards.ie doesn’t charge per word.
We we’re talking about Hypersonic missiles. Someone brought up kinetic weapons.
My old air rifle was a kinetic weapon.
Is there actually doubt about kinetic weapons or was someone being facetious? There are multiple kinetic weapon systems:
A-10 depleted uranium munitions. Israels air defence Iron Dome, The US PAC-3 Patriot missile, Hellfire R9X that took out yman al-Zawahiri.
Then theres the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD)
" Land-based element capable of shooting down a ballistic missile both inside and just outside the atmosphere.
Highly effective against the ballistic missile threats.
Uses hit-to-kill technology whereby kinetic energy destroys the incoming warhead."
Then there's the RIM-161 Standard Missile (SM-3) which is part of the AEGIS system and can shoot down balistic missiles and satellites.
Had the railgun not been cancelled, that too would have been kinetic with the projectils travelling at hypersonic speeds of mach 7 and still travelling supersonic when impacting tagets at 100km away.
Other way around actually.
Was the discussion not around knocking down potential hypersonic Russian nuclear missiles? Was that not the context re mentioning kinetic weapons?
You got confused. Debate was about kinetic not supersonic weapons systems.
OT : This conflict just confirms my opinion that various airforces obsession with swept wing fast jets is badly misplaced. The SU-25s are far more important and useful than $100 million mach 2 capable prima donnas like the SU-34.
The US has made a grave mistake in allowing the airforce to rid itself of the A-10 with the incomprehensible argument that the F-35 can fulfill the same role. CAS is not a job for a brick that always has to move fast to stay aloft and that costs $148m a pop. If one F-35 gets downed, the troops can kiss goodby to CAS as they will instantly stop using them in that conflict. You can build 3 to10 A-10s for the cost of a single f-35, and they only cost $6,273 per hour to opertate vs the F-35s $29,685 per hour.
Having swept wing jets designed for supersonic flight, carrying bombs, is madness, drones have proved that, in a way, by having lift efficient long thin wings more closely resembling a glider than an F-35.
When the Ukrainians give their daily Kherson reports and they mention 4 tanks and 12 armoured vehicles destroyed etc. Are the Russians still managing to replenish any of these?
The bridge's are out of action but are there tanks and armoured vehicles coming across on barges?
If the Ukrainians do take back Kherson city, while it will free up a lot of troops to focus on the southern and eastern frontlines the same applies for Russia.
Let's say there's 20k Russian's in Kherson and many of their best soldiers. If say 5k of these die or are seriously injured before they retreat that means 15k well trained Russians reinforce a much shorter frontline. It looks like the more ground Ukraine make the harder it will become.
Putin probably knows this and it's why he won't panic too much after losing kharkiv or if he was to lose the western side of Kherson.
The Germans have commandered the Rosneft subsidiary in Germany and all of it's assets. This is utterly delicious. They will now use the Rosneft refineries to refine non-Russian oil.
The Irish governements obstinate refusal to kick the Russian embassy out, still sickens me. Allowing a significant Russian spy base to continue to operate when it's main effort at the moment would be to help Russia with it's heinous actions in ukraine, is attrocious. Drop this scummy neutrality stuff as it is not principled and has no moral rectitude to it, quite the contrary, it stinks on all levels.
"Berlin on Friday took control of the German operations of Russian oil firm Rosneft"

What an amazing volte face when your reaction to my posting the first photo and report on the mass grave was to try and cast doubt on it by saying some unnamed reporter had doubts. I proved to be correct in saying the Ukrainians would not reporting on this without already having evidence or strong reasons to be worried. As keeps on being pointed out, the Ukrainians are as masterful in the info-sphere as they are in battle. I gave full credence to the initial story because they would be more than well aware of the danger of crying wolf and I can't recall them crying wolf at any time.
In addition to the grave, France24 is now reporting claims by the Ukrainians to have found 10 sites - so far - described as torture rooms. The other report of blood being found on the floor of police cells and stained mattresses may be less convincing, but not if the scale and nature of these turns out to be significant, which I suspect probable or they wouldn't have mentioned them in the same context.
That said, I'm glad to see you have come around.
Hitler was ordering around non existent divisions at the end of WW2, but that was after 5 years of fighting… where has Putin’s war machine disappeared to… it would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.
its hard to see Russia returning to the civilised world for decades, even after Putin is starting fights in hell. Germany managed a quick enough return after WW2, but not after huge reforms, and even then their country was divided for decades.., where to Russia?
Predictable enough. They blamed Katyn on the Nazis. Although to be fair it was only the length of time the bodies had been in the ground that made that scenario unrealistic.
Fair enough I googled the uniforms glad to be corrected.
Nonsense Gatling, the Ukrainian airforce has been destroyed 3 times already.
Simple solution, Russia ends its illegal invasion or is beaten out of Ukraine.
In anticipation of your next half baked argument that they stop where they are now, the answer is the Massacre of Ukrainians will not stop with an end of hostilities today, they will continue in areas occupied by Russia as evidenced by the testimony of the medic in the US congress yesterday. A medic who treated both Russian and Ukrainians in Mariopol and as a reward for her unbiased medical ethics was tortured for 2 months by Russians during which time she witnessed the murder of Ukrainian soldiers civilians and children.
This is a one sided war of aggressive invasion Sean, and you may delude yourself all you like and try blame it on Ukraine, NATO, US, Eu but the fact is it is all about Russia and their aggression. The murder will not stop until they are beaten.
Another 3 Russian aircraft shot down today, meanwhile Ukraines airforce is flying CAS (close Air support) missions in and around Kherson with pretty much impunity.
They don't even have to surrender. Most of them can just leave and go back home with their washing machines and toilets.
Don't care. And don't get smart after your mother comment. Post nonsense and you'll get scorched. Reconcile yourself to that.
Putin can end it now. It's his troops in another peoples' country. You can't seriously expect the Ukrainians to just stop and let the Russians run amok with their rapes, torture, castrations and civilian executions. Or can you? Hard to know really what you're after.
