Delightful
I cannot even get into the waiting area. Only myself to blame.
Could they not have set up the queuing via Groups and knock out games?
Or done a lottery. Or Or Or anything but this.
Everything gone 😢
in after two hour wait. no SA or Scotland left
Just in here too. No Tonga either. Balls
It's all fairly vague though. How/when will other tickets go on sale? I get creating artificial demand but whole thing isn't at all transparent
No Romania either. Hard to believe that's sold out already even if it's in Bordeaux.
In total, over 200,000 tickets will be made available for purchase, starting at 10 € for pool matches and 40 € for the knock-out phase.
this from the website, considering that is not even 4 fills of the stade de France it seems extremely low, know some where sold in the packs but same then was impossible to buy, where have the rest gone ?
Guess some going to travel agencies, sponsors etc but agree it does seem very low.
There was loads of tickets drops for 2015
We got ours in May of the same year for most Irish games easily enough
Absolute joke of a website, asked to join a queue, but no link to join a queue. Then found out probably too late that if you refresh the queue comes up. This just seems too biased towards ultra fast broadband or local access(france). Like the last time when you get on, everything is gone. How did people in Ireland get tickets.
In now...just **** left. Scotland v Romania....
Neither 500Mbps fibre nor VPN to France worked on Tuesday.
6 computers in work today and I managed to get outrageously expensive Cat.1 tickets for Wales vs Georgia (wife is welsh!)
System is a complete shambles
I tried Tuesday and today, nothing either day by the time I got in
crazy
Looks like we missed our chance
Brilliant they sold them all. Expect eBay sellers to do well. I will decide nearer the time whether I travel for games.
They released 600k in March 2021, 500k in Sept 2021 and 200k this week, so thats 1.3m tickets.
Add sponsors, packages etc.
There are 2.6 million tickets for the tournament so there are loads left.
They have to appear at some stage. They can't all be sold.
What would be the financial or otherwise advantage of holding back tickets for sale when there's clear demand though?
It drives some impatient people to get frustrated by the queuing process and/or their lack of success and pay more than they wanted to, buy matches they never planned on buying, or buying ridiculously overpriced package deals from agencies
Don’t know if it will be the same this time but there were loads of tickets available for all matches in fanzones at last World Cup, at face value. Fans who bought packages which included matches they had no interest in were looking to offload them. The St Denis packages I got include an Australia match so I’ll be selling those on when I receive the tickets. So there are bound to be more available.
Yes, I wouldn't be worried about travelling without a ticket. It's a big stadium.
I would have thought the same. Better to have the tens of millions of euros on the books a year earlier if possible rather than in 12 months from now in general for account/valuation purposes. But also in particular in our current inflationary environment, if the ticket prices are to stay the same, surely?
Just got an email saying the resale platform will be available by the end of the year, unsurprisingly some people have been trying to sell their tickets on unofficial platforms.
I've heard it said that the component tickets of packs can be re-sold individually through this new platform. I'm not convinced - the purpose of the packs was to sell tickets to the less attractive games, so why allow them back on the market again?
Ah great, have 3 city packs that we can't use now...have been waiting for this!
Because the tournament has its money already, they lose nothing by allowing people to break up the ticket packs, if it means there's a higher chance of filling seats for less attractive games then they actually gain.
Because the organisers have their money. If they don't sell on the resale site its the original buyer who takes the hit not the RWC.
Because packs include tickets that fans of other countries will want. At the last World Cup fans from other countries were selling tickets to Irish matches in the Irish fanzone. I’ve got tickets to the Australia match in St Denis, I’m not going, but Australian/Georgian fans might.
