That will be your own business. You can leave Tesla without any insurance in place should you wish.
Gotta love the Tesla price giggery pokery, thats the price without VRT etc., stick another 5k onto that on the road of base spec is a few euro shy of 65k. Id4 includes VRT

Agree. That one could fool some. It's only when u click through a few screens u notice. The model 3 rwd is a weird one because the vrt and grant are so close than one cancels the other out

Yeah, i was a bit annoyed, went for a drive, nice but harsh ride on the Y.
quoted me 64k base model. I swear everytime i think or look at it, 1 k is added on to it.
im not going to go for one, he said march 2023. At the rate apr being offered, 5.4%, its over 71k and delivery is march 23 minimum.
ill go look st enyaq and id4 now, also march 23 but less money.

None of them with grant thoug. There is a red one 60,445. Mental to think just 446 quid makes your car 5k more expensive. I'd say take the cables out and bill them separately
The model 3 just shows how ridiculous the grant system is. Buy FSD at 8am before collection and you lose the grant. Buy FSD at 8pm after collection and you keep the grant.
Finally got reg in account at 3pm today, of course the reg wont show up on the insurance system for a while so they have put a temporary transfer in place for a week to give me time to sort, very easy to deal with allianz, wont know until next week if there is an up or a down in the cost.
A few people mentioned they now come with mats- are they the all weather rubber ones Tesla sell?
carpet mats with the car, Amazon sell the rubber ones not too expensive
They don’t “quote” you for anything. The price is on the website and that’s what you and everyone else pays.

Where eligibility for grants include a cutoff it is inevitable that some will fall on the wrong side of the line...not sure why all the repetitive debate on this issue, its a government grant and they set the rules, which haven't changed since last budget.
I just think that maybe if tesla weren't so rigid on the price they would just shift them and be a win/win for customer and tesla. Everyone's a winner.

Tesla never negotiate on price for new vehicles, it is standard pricing. The thing to bear in mind also is that in the current year there have been two increases in price March '22 and June '22 for the Model 3. For March these these increases started in US, quickly followed by Austratlasia, UK AND Ireland. The June '22 increase happened in all other geographic market but this time Ireland pricing did not change. Many believe that this may suggest that Ireland pricing is out of line with the last round of increases
The budget 2023 to be announced in about 2 weeks may well impact grant eligibility and Irish net pricing.
Got everything sorted for tomorrow bar tax. Reg wasn’t available on the insurance but they added manually anyway.
Don't worry about tax .you will have a few days grace and your reg will most likely appear tomorrow on Motor Tax . Best of luck tomorrow
