Europe and the US are having their military equipment used for the reason it was built for and on top of it, gain favour with a new ally, it would be very very odd for them to abandon or drop support for Ukraine in any way (especially when they have moved their energy). Even a trump level twat getting in power in the US wouldn't change anything there, its an easy win to support Ukraine.

I have not said that President Putin should benefit. The killing must stop and this may mean having to hammer out an imperfect deal, which may mean Putin or the current regime survives politically to fight another day.
There are several videos of him speaking German to show off how big and clever he is (and at that heavily Russian accented with grammatical mistakes typical of a Russian). None of him speaking English bar a short speech where he is blatanly reading phoenetically and haltingly. His English is not good.
Ukraine seems happy to fight on Maybe they should decide how much manpower they can tolerate losing. Orc seem to be doing the lion's share of the losing at the moment.

Zelensky is certainly impressive a comedian in peace time and a Iron man in war time. I hope soon enough he can go back having a bit of crack. But he's done an amazing job. I don't know huge amounts about Ukraine never on my radar really. But If a country came to life Zelensky would be Ukraine personified.
But wouldn’t that be even more embarrassing for them to say that? After all for years they’ve been saying that westerners are soft, aren’t men anymore etc while they’re still big strong mens men ha. And at the start of the war when I saw captured Russian soldiers most looked like malnourished dwarves. They really do tie themselves up in knots with the bs they spout.
A tin pot army who relied on winter throughout the ages to save their holes has really been brought to light over this past 6 months. The Japanese easily defeated them in 1904/05 which humiliated Russia and lead to civil unrest and the Russia revolution that year. Let’s hope history repeats itself on that front and Putin gets his comeuppance.

I believe the west has gotten a bit softer but when push comes to shove will do the right thing. We have been given a wake up call and hope we actually come together create larger defence pacts and national security for example. Multifaceted intelligence agencies. An opt in EU army alongside NATO. Or create our own EUTO That could include Canada Australia UK anyone who wants to join. Not to be pulled into a war but to have enough clout not to be messed with. I appreciate everything the USA has done but we need to stand on our own. Keep the NATO standards ofc.
How on earth did a car manage to collide with the Presidential motorcade? Deliberate perhaps? It would be hard not to see the motorcade coming.
Zelensky seems to be traveling low key. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have an obvious motorcade and was just one of a group of (granted, large, expensive) cars, but without police sirens and flashy lights shouting "He's over here!!!"

Well Russia engaged in as a full a scale of war as it can muster to take Ukraine, so presumably they consider all targets & tactics fair game.
Ukraine on other hand, fighting back with considerable help but with hands a little tied for political considerations. Limited themselves to a few attacks on military sites inside Russian border. I'm sure there's many Ukrainian citizens baying for a few reprisal attacks on Russian towns and cities by way of retribution.
OK, I get you. So if Liz Truss announces today she will invade Ireland unless we hand over Donegal, Cavan and Leitrim, we should hammer out an 'imperfect deal'. Should we see if she'll accept just Cavan or Donegal? Maybe Leitrim if the population is less.

Crimea should be the final place the Ukrainians attack. It could push Russia over the edge to mobilize which just makes things harder everywhere.
Try and take back everything that was invaded this year first. That shouldn't cause full mobilisation. Then go for the LPR and DPR. This might do it but doubtful.
Leave Crimea for last and by this stage no matter what Russia try they won't break back into Ukraine. If the Kerch bridge is severed I'd honestly favour ukraine taking it back after a long grind. Russia ships could resupply but those harpoon missiles could say otherwise.

I know that's technically true, but it's been a while since I've seen that monstrous cancer onto the face of humanity be referred to on here with a title that would make him sound like some kind of statesman.
"President" is the title a democracy ideally gives to a person who has the consensus of the electorate and will do their best for them. It's a title that has taken a lot of abuse in the past few years alas.
