Just a little perspective on this. The front line since spring has been 16 km away from Kherson airport, Blahodatne remaining in Ukrainian hands throughout. So although 10km from the airport represents 6km of undoubtedly hard fought gains in the past 10 days, it's not like they are going to go the final 10km tomorrow. There is a very well defined salient there now, they are going directly for Kherson.

Grozny 2.....bye bye, heavy armor and building by building fighting.
interesting seeing Ukraine's new treaty proposals.... they are feeling confident

Pa must die a little every time he posts knowing it’s such BS.
Instead of the Inevitable Russian victory he’s much more likely to be posting…
I was looking at yet another destroyed Russian vehicle in Professor Clarkes video with the half swastika - Z and thought…
ZED IS DEAD
On the outskirts of Kherson. Could be a lively night in the city.
most importantly they have a pretty straight run to Kherson airport,as well as roads to and around Kherson proper
If they get the airport lock it down nice supply hub.
Things have been "off" recently regarding Putin imo. Soldiers retreating quicksted. The 83 officials calling for Putin's resignation in the last few days.
Reports of him being at a fairground while a rout was occuring and then retiring to a mansion in Sochi, Southern russia. I was surmising he must have been dead already.
And now this tonight. Could be bollix.
Floodwater from breached dam flooding residential houses in Kryvyi Rih
Russia is going after the hearts and minds
He is due to visit Uzbekistan in the coming days.... it'll be very telling if he goes or not
hmm reads like the opening of Patriot Games If not could be FSB or Pesky insurgents.
If he doesn't go now they'll be blaming it on the security risk after this "attempt".
I'd say the fecker is dead since Sunday possibly Saturday.
I'm saving this nonsense in a word document for posterity. I'm going to remind you of it every week or so. In fact, I may even post you a copy.
I would not put it passed Ukrainian propaganda Make the local orc on the ground expect a demoralize attack that will fold easily. To be met with Guys with cannonballs between the legs and knives in the teeth. Swatting off bullets like camouflage.
Good report from Sky News' Moscow correspondent. She says it's way too soon to be talking of a heave against Putin, but Ukraine's army moving into Crimea would really start to ratchet things up.
This war is not over by a long shot. The Ukrainians have won a battle in Kharkiv oblast. The Russians are still advancing slowly in Donetsk oblast with their objective to surround Bakhmut and cut off the defenders. Zelensky is fully aware that the politics of Europe may determine whether they keep supplying weapons or whether they force him to settle.
"The 90 days ahead will be more crucial than 30 years of Ukraine's independence. These 90 days will be more crucial than all the years of the existence of the European Union. Winter will determine our future and the risks," Zelensky said.
According to the president, Russia has no intention to supply Europe gas and is using energy as the last bargaining chip in an attempt to decrease European support for Ukraine. "Be sure that Russia will provide zero gas supplies, and our energy systems must be fully prepared for this," he said.

The longer this goes on the deeper we get pulled into the conflict with Russia and I reckon this can drag on another two years to the end of both Putins and Bidens terms. Eventually the United States is going to turn to NATO countries and demand a greater level of commitment, something which European politicians are not always willing to do and will usually find an excuse not to do something depending on the political calculus. I am going to continue looking at what the other side thinks and if you don't like that feel free to call it out, this is a discussion board.
For the record, I am not in favour of the Russian government, its invasion and nor do I have any affinity for the Ukrainian government. I am anti-war and will explore the prospects for a peaceful resolution to this, which must happen eventually.
"Zelensky is fully aware that the politics of Europe may determine whether they keep supplying weapons or whether they force him to settle."
🤣
The Dnieper is running red with the blood of Russian troops tonight and you think Biden / Truss / Macron et al will lack the nerve to give Ukraine the materiel to smash the Russian war effort for good??? 🤣
You really are shook
P.S If you really are anti-war, take-heart, the end is in sight. There's some more bloodletting of Putin's army to be done, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. The terms will not favour Russia, as it will be hammered out in their defeat, but it's something you'll have to live with.
Drag it out with what Equipment. Are we suggesting all their good kit is held back and their just sending in 60 year old tanks for the crack so Ukraine wastes javelins on them ? I say at this stage all the bunkers have been kicked open for all to see and the sight is not good. They are lobbing missiles from subs. Once they run out what ? Russia can produce some dumb tech but not guidance systems and all the fancy stuff they are cut off from. China will not be supplying this they are bleeding Russia dry. Once china has enough oil/gas/coal they will say bye bye thanks for all the fish.
Whatever hope the Putin supporters had that Europe would abandon Ukraine went out the window after the Kharkiv victory. Who on earth would abandon a clearly winning side? It wouldn't make any sense.
Interesting sequence of events
After the Kharkiv rout, Azerbaijan start walloping Armenia hard
Armenia panic and invoke the CSTO agreement requesting Russian military support
The Russians give them a lukewarm response
Armenia and Azerbaijan come to some sort of ceasefire agreement
Kyrgyztan and Tajikstan start going at it.
Kazakstan floats the idea that they're going to suspend their membership of the CSTO just before Putin and Xi hold a summit in...Kazakstan
Xi makes pointed remakrs about Chinas support for Kazakstans independence and territorial integrity. Basically warning Russia off from getting any ideas about strongarming the Kazaks
All a bit of a kick in the nuts for Vlad before his big summit.
How did Scholz have a 90 minute phone call with a dead man?
They could only sustain the attempt to undermine Europe's support of Ukraine when the outcome looked like intermanable stalemate. Now Russia is clearly badly wounded and in dissarray, and there is a clear momentum shift that points towards a UKR victory.
Peddling doubt doesn't work when their boys are getting kerbstomped, and are running out of men to cycle-in to the war and the materiel to sustain it.
They'll have to pick another line from here on out. We await with interest to see what they come up with.
You are right, they are of that opinion. I'm saying domestic political considerations may force politicians hands or force them from office. The Winter has not yet happened, a combination of energy shortages, inflation and recession will cause political instability across the EU. The energy shortages may be the last card President Putin has to play to force a settlement or at least mitigate the damage to the Russian economy when it comes time for settlement discussions.
Likes to use translators. Can speak English fine at a very good level actually KGB and all that.
How do you negotiate with a country that always lies? And unfortunately, that is not hyperbole.
What baffles and riles me about the 'anti-war'/'just want peace' crowd is their absolute determination that Putin should benefit from a war of aggression against a sovereign state.
mr putrid isn't dead, more's the pity
..
Of the governments that provide significant war materiel and intelligence support to UKR, precisely zero of them are in danger of collapsing.
There are few governments in the EU generally that look like falling this winter.
Putin will be facing the same faces across the table, with the same bit between their collective teeth. It's bad news for Moscow.
All of this rubbish is predicated on the sh*t that Russia wants to think about 'the West'. That it's decadent, weak, divided, can't sustain a fight, Russia stronk, we do 4D chess blah blah. It's all horsesh*t. The man and his circle were high on their own supply and have been proven badly wrong.
They may well pay with their lives in the end.
No idea just giving a plausible explanation on what was requested. I mean he must have doubles too all them types love the old doubles.
