Was at Wolf Alice last night in the Olympia, never heard of the support band before but thought they were woeful, just noise for the sake of it.
Wolf Alice however were excellent and much better than I was expecting, not a devout fan but did know all the tracks bar one. Great band and performers and abundant energy from the bass player in particular.
Surprised they're playing two nights however as guessing only at about 60% capacity last night.
Both nights are sold out so don't know what to make of that.
Thought Just Mustard were great as well. Was delighted to hear they were provided support.

Alot of people arent getting refunds for postponed shows, they dont realise that they are entitled to a refund.
Huge amounts of no shows in general.
Couldn't agree more on this. I've had to tell a rake of friends over the last year that they were entitled to refunds for postponed shows so I can imagine thousands of punters have missed out.
Just looking at the presale tickets this morning, €106 + booking fee for seats in either block N or J, which are both on the top tier level and miles from the stage.
Its a deliberate ploy by Ticketmaster and the promoters to hold onto money.
Also closing down the telephone lines.
They must have held onto tens of millions of euro in the UK and Ireland.
CMAT has announced a second show at 3Olympia Theatre on Thursday 8th December 2022. Tickets from €25 including booking fee go on sale this Friday 9th September at 10am

Sadly, this Saturday’s Aslan concert at 3Arena has been postponed due to illness.
The band issued a statement today:
“Everything was going so well coming up to our 3Arena show and Christy was doing great. However, he has suffered a set-back with his treatment, and we have now been instructed by his doctors that it is not advisable for Christy to perform this Saturday. Christy, Joe, Alan & Billy are beyond devastated to have to share this news with you.
We are working to find a new date at 3Arena, so do hold on to your tickets, as they will be fully valid for the rescheduled date.
As you all know, Christy’s health is priority and we also have to respect his privacy at these times.

Machine head only played 10 songs last night according to setlist fm and only 1 from burning red. Kinda glad I didn't go now.
It was a co-headline tour with Amon Amarth with a support act opening on the bill, this info was known well in advance.
I dunno why so surprised they played just one from the Burning Red they've only really consistently kept 2 of those songs around since it was released.

They used to do a sort of UK & Ireland Xmas tour AFAIK. I went twice to the Birmingham gigs as we lived there, it was as messy as you can expect!! A few lads I used to work with used to do our unofficial Xmas party that night, good times! One year it, I am pretty sure it was the Saturday before Xmas eve, snowed and the whole town was more or less closed up, so when we landed out of the gig at 10.30 it was totally bizarre how quiet it was. Good times
Was at Dave Chappelle in the Point last night. They had a no phones policy so your phone was locked in a bag that could only be opened at certain areas and away from the arena. Was brilliant and would love it if more gigs/acts had a similar policy. The show itself was brilliant and Donnell Rawlings was part of the warm up act and was just as good.
Seen a few gigs doing that recently. How did it work with people trying to pay for stuff. Did everyone bring cards or was there anyone caught out?
You can take your phone out of the pouch again if you want but you can only do that away from the seating areas (an dour it back in going back in). I wasn't at that show last night but usually they shut the bars during the show anyway so there's nothing to spend money on.
Chris Rock did the same when he was here. Dylan doing the same this year.
Email notification was sent out to say come prepared as you wont be able to use your phone for payments and to ensure you brought cash or card with you. The system in place for the no phones worked well.
