Meath Update
I scored just over 110 and I've a form to fill in if I am still interested in going for an interview. Any idea what happens next how long before I have an interview,?
Did they tell you your start date or did they ask you when you are available to start ?
They asked me when I was available to start
Wexford & Carlow update
We are currently calling candidates to Stage 2 interview as vacancies arise.
To date we have called up to OOM 26 for Co Carlow and 64 for Co Wexford.
I'm in the same boat, been told they ll be in touch in the message two weeks ago but nothing since...
Thanks for the reply shoelaces, it's good to know I'm not the only one. Hopefully we'll both hear soon, feels a bit like being stuck in limbo.
One of the guys in HR in my department mentioned a 'standard 4 week wait' when you are coming in from an open competition. You'll probably hear something very soon.
I just had my interview this afternoon, I feel like it went well and I’m happy with how I handled it each question. Now it’s just the waiting game!
I think someone mentioned on this thread that when you find out if you passed or failed the interview you receive feedback? Is this true? Also, how long recently have people been waiting after the interview to find out if they passed?
In my own experience I emailed HR as soon as I got my assignment notice. I believe a HR contact is in the email/message.
They told me they would contact me in about two weeks as they were busy with assignments. I received same in just under 3 weeks.
I got HR email and accepted their offer. They thensaid its usually 4 weeks for a start date from date of offer(to give them time to process contracts etc) ...providing my current notice fell in line with this also which luckily it did.
I hope thats a help to some above. I'm due to start in a couple of weeks.
This is just my own experience and I'm not sure if it varies across departments etc. Some departments may need people more urgently so may be quicker for others?
Had my interview in mid d July, passed it and have heard no more since 🤷♂️
Depends on your order of merit position I suppose?
I had my interview in April and my clearance process only started in July.
I was interviewed according to my order of merit.
They do say passing interview is no guarantee of an offer of a position. You just have to sit tight and hope that they reach your OOM in terms of job offers. I'm in the same boat. Passed interview 2 months ago and heard nothing since
Yes but you retain your place on the OOM after you pass the interview. They then place you according to that when your number comes up.
I wouldn't be panicking yet is what I'm saying and it's always worth throwing them an email to enquire.
I’m not really panicking as I’m in a position. I am only saying that what there time frame isn’t based on reality
It was 10 weeks between being notified I had passed the interview and invitation to clearance for me. Hopefully you'll hear something soon.
Anyone know what the hse are like to work for? Pros/cons? Are they flexible with hours? Perks, etc.? Trying to decide if it’s worth leaving my current job for :/
This is not a forum for HSE It's public jobs (civil service) HSE recruitment is a different format.
All I know is that once you are established in your job in HSE there would be opportunity for part time hours in a lot of departments.
It largely depends on your section HR dept and your own line management.
Good luck in your job.
Just wondering what oom are they at in Dublin at the moment in and around. Thanks!
Hi all,
I am starting in Revenue on monday... I worked for the Dept of social protection for 2 years TCO and have gone up a few pay grades in that time.. I dont want to start from the bottom pay grade when I start on monday. Will I have to get the dept of social protection to send something to Revenue for this or is it all automatic?
Much thanks in advance
@superconfused.com how long after your request for clearance did you start your actual placement ?
Is anyone waiting over 2 weeks for Garda vetting? I sent mine off 1st of September and it says in progress now since the 6th of September.
I got past the interview but my OOM is like 2100 (Dublin)! Have I any actual chance of being offered a job?
Congrats! Usually it will automatically update on your record. If not, you can raise a case to have it updated. I've just left revenue and joined nsso and my increments were automatically calculated.
Invitation to clearance mid July, no start date as yet.
I've been offered the court services in Cork. Can anyone advise? Is this a good place to work? Parking? WFH? etc
For anyone interested Tipperary have only reached OOM 52, moving very slowly 😩 not holding out much hope for this panel, only moved one place since mid August.
i was OOM 135 for KK, had interview last week
any one know how long it takes for interview results ?
