Yes, give you the keys and off you go for 30 mins to 1 hr, may depend on availability. Seemingly they recommend people change over their insurance for the duration of the test drive, I only realised afterwards.
They take copies of your licence also and they'll give you a once over on how to drive it (maybe that's optional). Unlike others who literally threw a key at me without even getting my name. My experience was that I needed to book in advance as they are busy particularly at weekends.
Yes, they more or less throw the key card at you.😊. Providing you are happy with the operating.
Depends where you do the test drive. Cork was very quiet the morning of my first drive. Arrived early so got the car straight away. Had no other bookings that morning, so he said he would contact me if needed car back, so said there was no rush. I didn't abuse that, but probably kept car for 90 minutes or so..
I would check the final price of the Model Y, click the cash price at bottom. Sound a bit too cheap, possibly missing VRT..
Edit. Model Y now starts at about €65K.
Thats my thought too but ive looked at all incl cash, hire purchase. Ill check again. My trade in estimates are shocking.
ive booked already for thursday, so should be ok, im hoping my wife can have a go in it as its for her really as she needs to get rid of her 08 fully specced 4motion tiguan thats taking 1250 in road tax a year.
When were folks getting their reg? Like a few days before collection time?
Normal. Price will disappear once it hits the warranty side of things.
Within a week of delivery.
For those who have collected M3 SR+, what range is indicated after a full charge? Mine is around 440km.
Was expecting closer to 500. It’s still more than enough, but a good 10% less than the listed range and covers my work commute the whole week, which is great! Cooler weather is what I’m thinking.
OK, thanks, I guess thats from tomorrow onwards so no panic yet.
I turned off the displayed range in favor of the %
The issue with the displayed range is that it's massively impacted by driving style and weather...so u sit into the car thinking I can drive 440km, and after 200km hammering it down the motorway you think your car is broken.
Tesla use one of the old range standards for the GOM, forget the name of it. It is tougher than the newer WLTP, so possibly more accurate in real world..
As @jusmeig says, just use % and the range graph will give a good idea of your future range with your style of driving.
FWIW I found in the colder times (Only got car though 1st March), efficiency using heater was similar enough to using aircon in warmer weather.
Collected our M3 this evening. Experience was absolutely fine, the Tesla guys onsite were helpful and answered any queries.
The car itself was spotless inside and out. All cables & mud flaps in the boot. The paint and panels all perfect. Slight misalignment of the right-rear light, similar to others who have collected. Already booked a ranger call out to fix alignment with light for 22/9.
Overall, very satisfied with the collection process and of course the M3 is an simply an awesome piece of engineering.
I am taking delivery on Saturday and still no reg details . Had contact today through text and they said that they have requested reg and I will get it asap so I am expecting it tomorrow….
Mike
I had to give them a ring this morning to get mine for delivery on Friday
Someone needs to tweet Elon and let him know that Rear Tail Light Mc Ginty is taking the mick.
Thanks Pal ill do that.
I collected today also. Was very quick and straightforward. Everything looks fine although I need to do a full check. When I was driving home I got an tire pressure monitoring error message "vsec_a222". Booked a service for next week. One of the door trims wasn't clipped in properly also, should be easy to fix

😎.
Collected her earlier this evening around 6:30 - process was very easy and painless. No issues found and me and wife had a lovely drive home
Can't find where to start spotify under the Tesla premium account. There is only the option to log in with my own account. Where do I go?
I assume you mean the RWD?
if so then that will drop to 439 in a few weeks. That seems to be where most posters on the FB group are at that have the RWD.
The question comes up weekly on the group.
Yes, that's what I meant. I'm not on FB, so haven't seen anything from the group on there. I'm still delighted with the range and it's nice to be able to break "Leaf Speed" 😅
To our your mind at ease, 440 is normal.
My main confusion is when u extrapolate out the trip stats the usable battery keeps coming to max 51kw
I was expecting 55kw+ even with buffer
Looking at Rsymons reviews his figures on the rwd were about 56.5
I have sentry turned off and dashcam too as a test and still maxing out at 51kw
I'm averaging about 150 wh/km and happy with that given a lot of motorway driving but the usable battery is bugging me.
I'm new to this but my maths are correct as if I ran the battery to zero it would give me 51kw and a range of approx 340kms.
Any thoughts?
U need your own account.
I've gotten 55kWh from 100 to 9% on the motorway mostly. I'd say the usable capacity when new is right at 58-59kWh settling down to 56-57 after a few months. If you're not getting 56-57 now then I'd query it.
thanks, your 55kwh just is not happening for me. I'm wondering why im not getting it as i have turned off sentry and dashcam now.
So the other night i ran it down from 100% to exactly 50 and it was at a used amount of battery of 25kw - then i charged to 100 that night and it took 30kw charging. That would seem to say to me that 4kw is going "missing" somewhere allowing for some loss when charging.
It just doesn't seem right to me
Good quality mats have a set of them myself.
you dont
would you mind elaborating? i thought you needed a spotify account of your own to log into, unless you had an older car/plan
EPA is the standard Tesla uses in the car display and it is not a GOM. This guy suggests a conversion factor of 1.121 EPA/WLTP which kinda makes sense 440*1.121 = 493
Use navigation as the car would be pretty accurate in estimating the remaining % to destination. It is using even wind speed, pretty complex compared my 2019 Kona which doesn't even have built-in navigation. Also you can use the energy app to see how your driving style compares to average.
