Hi
Might be the wrong location, but I was to put in a deposit on a m3 now, to lock in the price, would it be feasible to delay shipment for up to 2 years?
no you can only reject them offering you a car twice i believe it is
18' Michelins on my SR
Collection day! 😃
FYI that Tesla emailed me yesterday afternoon to say I have to bring proof of address, proof of PPS number in addition to drivers license to activate the HP agreement with AIB Finance...just in case anyone else is using AIB, to maybe bring this information as I haven't seen anyone else mentioning these items are needed.
Great, thanks, that's a relief.
I was up in Tesla in Sandyford in August and the Model 3 in the showroom had 19" wheels with Hankooks !!??
My SR with 19s has Hankook on it.
Anyone on PCP with FI how close to collection did you need to sign the paperwork? Collection is Saturday and haven’t heard a word from them yet, just want to see should I start hounding them
No.
Nothing wrong with the Hankooks either.
They meet the same performance spec that Tesla specify.
Yes the 19' and 20' now seem to come with Hankook. First tire change I'd be swapping them for something better.
I agree, there is nothing wrong with Hankooks and I know they are regarded as a Premium tyre.
I have had Michelins on my current car and found them to be a good combination of good grip, low wear and good fuel economy -- however they are also expensive.
I would prefer them if I had a choice.
I was in contact with them yesterday.
They told me that they were awaiting the invoice from Tesla which they should have today. They will need me to e-sign the docs and then send back to them. I am Saturday delivery as well and they told me that the timeline is no problem... Hopefully they are right...
I signed the day before collection
Out of interest, what would you put on instead.
Hankook are fine but always good to know of alternatives
Thanks
I've had good experience with michelin pilotsport on my prior S and X. The michelins on my current/new 3 are great too. I'd generally go for a well reccomended tire on any car but especially important on a heavier quicker EV . Michelin, Goodyear would be my two preferences.
I’m collecting Friday and haven’t heard anything from them.
I agree on the Michelins or Goodyears. I have Goodyears on the other car and they are great too. Hard to say which are better but Goodyears are generally significantly cheaper than Michelins.
I'm collecting today. I actually contacted FI on friday just to confirm everything is in place. I signed through docusign on Friday evening. I would suggest double-checking the loan amount v the outstanding balance and also importantly - the APR rate on the contract matches the rate you were quoted.
The model 3 performance delivered in 2022 seem to have 20" Pirelli P Zeros on them
Seeing as it doesn’t come with a spare wheel. Is there one of those cans of liquid in case of a puncture? If there isn’t would anyone recommend one that could be repaired after without replacing the tyre?
Once you get your reg, does it take a few days before you can pay your motor tax online?
Anywhere from 24 to 48hrs
No
Just got a ranger appointment to fix the tail light allingment
But it's showing a cost of 95€
Surely there should be no cost as it was a defect on delivery?
That's gas, I got an email saying Ranger can't do those adjustments.
Email them to query cost, it should be free
Can i ask how you all signed on to pcp? Online i dont get the option, only cash lease or hire purchase
I didn't do pcp but it's mad how tesla don't advertise it.
Basically select "finance yourself" or whatever and just give FINANCE IRELAND a call and they have partnered with tesla as an approved partner .
They do pcp or HP with tesla .
Not sure why tesla don't seem to want to show the option on the website as no PCP puts a lot of people off.
It's not listed on the website. I got a quote via one of the sales advisors in Sandyford. I recall some people talking about about an "app" can download to generate your own quotes, presumably on your phone.
Correct, there will be no charge.
Ill ask when doing a test drive this week. Looking at a model y, website lists at 60k ish, and id4 is miminum 54k, no brainer i think.
how does a test drive happen? Do they just throw a key at you? For how long? 30 mins?
