I would be more concerned when ukraine conflict escalate more. There may be whole raft of another conflicts and settlement of border issues all over the world. You pointed to one but there is more like China itching to get Taiwan, problems in Syria, Iraq, Moldova, Kosovo, Turkey, Greece just to name few. Whole lot more in Africa too. We sure live in interesting times.

I'm reminded of a lady who appeared on an Irish programme maybe 15 years ago. Asked why she was voting FF she replied "I like to pick the candidate that wins". It stuck with me to this day and i often wonder what proportion of people apply similar logic to such matters. Like kids supporting the most successful premier league team of their day. How much growing up do we do really?

If Trump, the ultimate loser, had a choice between Ukraine defeating Russia in the war or Russia winning so he could say "If the election hadn't been stolen Putin would never have dared invade with me in power. This is what happens without me in charge!" we all know which one he'd choose.

If anything the Ukrainans are preparing the next advance and we will see more russians fleeing for the nearest border crossing
