Yeah, the less said about LIV the better from anyone on the PGA tour. Now I haven't heard Shane's interview but using every opportunity to bring up LIV(if it was the golfer that did it) isn't a good play.
Now all that said fair play to Shane. A great win up against some other players playing really well. Will do him no harm at all. Would have loved to see a playoff between himself and Ror though. Maybe some day.

Yes, I think he was. It's a bit ironic that the "good guys won" quote came about from a misunderstanding of the question. Felt a bit awkward watching that tbh.
But fantastic to see Shane win and bogey free too. Tops of a great year(and not over yet!). It's also a monkey off his back too with it being his first win since his Open victory.
He really has had a fantastic career.
Won on tour as amateur. Only the third to do it on the ET.
Followed it up by winning as a pro soon after.
Then wins on the PGA Tour in a WGC event.
Then wins a Major.
Yesterday's win in the European Tour's flagship event is another great chapter.
To go on to win the order of merit or whatever it's called now would be amazing although a very tall order with the lead Rory has. Just brilliant to watch Shane this week - just rewards for a great season and the best start to his Ryder Cup '23 campaign.
Must be a lightweight according to Harrington if he isn't answering the phone at 3.30am
Rory and Shane scenes at end are pure class..
For a while it seemed like Rory was isolated and friends with no-one, can imagine Shane being a guy who who would look out for Rory when things were not going well. The Ryder cup week etc...
It is is class both Shane and Rory are becoming massive figures as the game is in a mess. Very proud of both...
Shane is absolutely gold...love watching him play every different type of shot, he has Links and Parkland heritage...has imagination and skill to play the shots..
Something people also sort of don't notice with Shane, is how good he is in interviews, and with media....that is a big big thing in the Golf industry- a sport lacking character and characters at times.
Shane almost gets too emotional about wins - but I guess that is why I love the guy .......but it can be a weakness too...

"Only" up four places from 23 to 19. I say only because the stupid new system has Shane gain 38points whereas last year the winner got 64points. Maybe they should have had a calibration of existing rankings as the "gain points" don't calculate the same way as the "loss points"
just to expand, the Tour Championship had a field rating of 187 with 38.8 to the winner and Shanes BMW had a field rating of 221 with 38.0 to the winner?
It’s far better for people to give their honest answers, whether we agree with them or not, than just play diplomat. It’s not like he held a press conference to give his views. He was asked questions and he answered them.

World ranking points have been reduced for the European tour. Hard to blame the top Europeans for not wanting to play European tour events.
They haven't been reduced specifically for the European Tour, they are now calculated based on the strength of field with no minimum points awarded.
