Any comments from that Russian Propaganda TV show, the one with all the experts ( especially the female ) extolling the wonderous victories of the Russian Army? And promising to level all of the west into dust, plus restoring Alaska to Russia?
Crimea is part of Ukraine,
When the Ukrainan forces arrive enmass the Russians will be helped to the big bridge to Russia where they can walk home to mother Russia never to bother Ukrainans again
Guys calm down, plenty of other places to recapture (and hold) before Crimea, let’s not get ahead of ourselves with theoreticals.
Washington Post published an article that a quarter of Russian respondents did not express support for the war in a recent poll (either against or neutral).
Now, 75 percent in favour of something would usually be considered overwhelming, but because Russia is a country where public dissent is not so well tolerated, I would say the anti-war contingent is considerably bigger than reported, if anything. But, sure, if the war really is popular, I suppose there'll be no worry on Putin's part that full conscription wouldn't be politically ruinous.
This lady is the usual source for that content.
I know
Absolute drivel. In the medium term move away from fossil fuels is essential and will happen. That problem will still be there when this awful war is over
Only if you're measuring the medium term in decades, Joe public now understands that lack of reliable fuel sources equals sky high bills and freezing in winter. You arent going to run western civilisation on promises of wonderous things to come.
A new bunch of Chechens arrived in Kherson over the last few days. They probably came in swinging their dicks and it wasnt received well by soldiers that have been getting battered over the last few weeks.
The Kadyrovites are just there to make videos. They probably found out that when they arrived they were expected to do actual war-stuff.
Softly softly catchee ruskie , those Russian troops are effectively neutralized, they don't have the resources to attack ,or the ability to withdraw ...they can however defend ,and still have claws .. I doubt that the Russians can stand the pressure for long , and once the lines ( plural ) break and the Ukrainians get in behind it's then bye bye vdv
looks like it yes,the tik tok army
Where are the Russians tactically retreating from , it's largely been a rout ..
Man, if you were a Ukrainian general, Belgorod has to look tempting. Call their bluff.
the Kharkiv region is useless to them, they want the Donbas
So why did they take it in the first place, just to be humiliated by losing it 😏

podcast analysing the military side of this offensive and lessons of the war up to now, few people here will find it interesting listen
Don't know the accuracy of this
all part of the original failed strategy of taking Kiev, they have wanted to get out of the Kharkiv region too as they knew they couldn't hold it, but just needed some inspiration, Ukraine just gave them the inspiration
Solovyov is taking things badly anyway :
It's useless to them NOW, they've lost a shed load of equipment ,and territory that they paid dearly in blood for ,
Kharkiv was always just a feint to distract them from the Donbass...
Of course the loss of the kharkiv province and it's rail links has made defending Donbass so much harder .. so we'll see how that goes .. I doubt the Ukrainians will waste lives in a full head on offensive but they'll expoit weaknesses when they can ...
This. Inherently the Ukrainian push is going to culminate. Even without the Russians putting up more resistance, which is not impossible, the Ukrainians will need a pause to maintain the vehicles, bring up additional fuel and ammunition for the next push and, frankly, sleep. It's been a very impressive push, but not the end of the war.
In other words, they want what they think they can hold, and that's a concept subject to ongoing revision as the circumstances of battle change.
I don't know if they have the strength to do it but if they captured Belgorod, the Russians would sure have to double back and they would lose countless arms equipment and the logistic hub of the whole region. Better yet they would be unprepared for such a bold move. People can say, oh an attack on Russian territory could mean a wmd. A wmd can happen at any time now, or not at all, crossing that border won't change the calculation, Moscow will never be at risk.
Cheerful was also claiming it was a tactical retreat on the conspiracy theory forum. I had to point out that tactical retreats do not leave dozens of operational APC’s, tanks, artillery, and other vehicles behind. Nor do they leave mountains of ammo and shells. The only tactical thing happening was Russian soldiers trying to save their own asses by fleeing as quick as possible and lightly as possible.
The Russians collapsed faster than the Afghan army
One wonders will they dig in over the winter across that river or will it be quick rout or awlful slog closer Ukraine gets to its border
Is the video showing the future Russian donations to Ukraine?
He should go out there and show them how it’s done.
Lots of missile strikes tonight in Ukraine, Kharkiv is in total black out after strikes on a local power plant.
Retaliation for the debacle Russia had in the last few days.
There's already been claims of Ukrainans crossing into Belgorod and stealing military vehicles to take back to Ukraine
Thanks Brussels Sprout, that was an interesting link, for sure LOL. That Olga Skabeena is some piece of work, I mean they all are, but she takes the biscuit. The military expert Michail Onufrienko has tried in the past to state the true position( Only to have to retract it later ) Some crew for sure,
