Russian media has been reporting it too. Are they in on the lie that Ukraine has liberated villages from Russia?
Todays update
(Today) at the UN . Yesterday at the UN
Wtf.
CNN news reported this morning that the count of Ukrainans forcibly deported to Russia stands at 2.5 million .
I'm not 100% about the figure, but I'd say it's in excess of 1.5 million, but if the figure is close imagine half of our own population filtered and forcibly deported to Siberia
If you're finding it difficult to figure out truth from lies in this days and age, it's fair enough to simply not believe anything. After all, it saves valuable brain cells from having to think. Why bother checking which sources have a good record for accuracy and which ones can never get their stories straight when you can just tell yourself they're all the same and rise above it all? Why bother with understanding the motivations and agendas of the sources when you can just write them all off without a single further, overly complicated thought?
If I found it that difficult and had no desire to inform myself, I'd probably do the same, to be honest.
And the world stands by.
Ukraine reached Balakliya, left a few troops behind to pin those Russians in place (until they slithered out), then sped to Volokhiv Yar, Semenivka, and Shevchenkove, where they apparently did the same. And just like that, Ukraine advanced 30-40 kilometers with low casualties, leaving neutered Russian garrisons behind, with surrender or escape (without their equipment) their only real options.
(This is what Russia tried to do early in the war in Sumy and Chernihiv, but those cities were too big for full containment, allowing Ukrainian forces inside those cities to raid Russian supply lines. These are small towns, easily containable.)
At this moment, Balakliya is fully liberated. Maybe Shevchenkove is as well (conflicting reports). The others, it’s unclear. It doesn’t matter. Multiple Russian sources have reported that Ukrainian forces are fast approaching Kupiansk, a mere 25 kilometers from Shevchenkove. And we know there’s nothing much defending in the middle, as multiple (gory) videos have emerged of Ukrainian infantry ambushes of Russian vehicles. This one, of a Russian GRAD MLRS rocket artillery, is VERY graphic, so click at your own risk. But I include it to make this important point: GRADs have a 52-kilometer range, they sit way back from the front lines, and they’re being ambushed and destroyed by Ukrainian infantry. This is the rear rear. There are no defensive lines, and Russian forces are being caught by complete surprise. There is also a complete absence of land mines, which is slowing Ukrainian advances around Kherson.

Apparently, when questioned about this, he replied with something like 'Mind your own damn business'. It would be intriguing to find out what is going on behind the scenes in Putin-land.
OH FFS, you said don't believe anything on the internet and you are writing on the internet... give me patience.
I would imagine the Ukrainians relished getting to attack those Grads. Artillery and Grads have probably killed more civilians and damaged more Ukrainian homes than anything else in this war - not to mention tormenting the soldiers themselves. They're usually only destroyed from afar. Very rare that troops would get anywhere near them.
He went to a reeducation session , comrade try harder to convince the people we are going to take Kiev in 3 days ,
So much for the dredded Russian super air defense systems the s3/400s ,
At least 2 s400 systems were destroyed in Kherson,by Ukrainian forces and Ukrainian aircraft are conducting airstrikes with near impunity in the region
If the troops got close I doubt they'll destroy them. They be captured and cycled into the Ukrainian forces. Looking at the captured lists recently and given the donations of tanks to Ukraine, they may have a superior tank force compared to "Mordors" now!
Yeah, the flamethrower guys were never taken prisoner either.
the 3rd corp is coming to Kherson
The only country that went to war and ended up with more tanks and aircraft despite facing a force who outnumbered them substancially
50km advance near Kharkiv, denaZification going well today too

You'd have to worry what is happening to the north of them.
They have created this new line very easily, with minimal reported casualties against a soft defensive front from the Russians. I just hope its not a situation where the Russians fold back on one side to push in on the other and squeeze the Ukrainians.
Obviously it may not even be a threat, but I can only go off the Liveuamap and if whats shown on the picture above is accurate, it looks like a sliver of blue between two red masses.
