It's funny that Russia claims to be a super power, but it looks like it's all lies, and yet we still believe the have the fastest nuclear weapon known to man, that they can hit UK in a few seconds, it's more likely the have a Lada with a boot full of firecrackers .
Russia are there for the taking, and so is their Gas.
Sure that Lada doesnt even have airbags anymore.
…Which is now a very expensive car to buy and not get airbags, gps or abs etc
I am no analyst of military affairs but someone only a few days back made a claim Russia if they wanted could take the whole coast. That was sheer fantasy, I am unsure if Ukraine can push out the Crimea but Kherson now seems a very realistic prospect.
What I find interesting is that this happens while Ukraine must defend its entire landmass, Russia it seems is not concerned about defending Russian territory. I think if Ukraine were to take the gloves off then the Russian army would be very overstretched in trying to prevent a Ukrainian push towards Belgograd or even Kursk. (I do know it won't happen)
It seems even the Russian media are beginning to admit things are going badly on the Balakliya-Izyum front ; looks like the Ukrainians have genuinely made major inroads.
Ukraine would be foolish to try and seize any recognised Russian territory for several reasons:

In case anyone is in any doubt about the level of sophistication of the Lada Vesta before the removal of the basic safety features, under the skin its basically an old model Dacia Logan / Sandero which in turn was based on an even older model Renault Clio but with significant cost reductions.
Someone asked about what would happen if Russia printed a load of rubles, well the answer is that a jumbled up collection of bits of old Renaults would cost even more than the $50k it costs now, but the sanctions are hurting EU countries more than they hurt Russia apparently.
F*ck me - we had that as a 7" single back when I was a kid in the early '70s. The B side was the whole song played backwards.
Thats could be it if they enough reserves also i heard some units refuses to fight because they havent recived food, water or payment
Hopefully encircle the remaining russian troops in the north east if they get to the river
I agree fully, they will not do it, but the point is it shows the relative ability of the 2 armies. The Ukrainians are restricted in where they can attack by way of the above concerns, not because of the ability of their army.
The Russians on the other hand have no such restrictions. They can and have attacked across their border or across the Belarussian border without fear of been pursued and routed if the attack fails, they just retreat back into Russia with no worry about setting up defenses knowing the Ukrainians will not push further.
Last thing Ukraine needs is for Putin to mobilize for war with all his military or use his nuclear arsenal
Never mind, they'll get a Lada eventually.
The problem with this is that they can never achieve their states aim of taking back every inch of their 1991border then.
The Russians can bombard them from Russia for the rest of time. They have to create jeopardy for Russia to agree to a meaningful settlement.
I think if the Russian army is pushed back to the Russian border (probably unlikely, unfortunately, but not impossible) but if they were, it would cause the Russian government to collapse. Surely the army would turn on thr Kremlin if that were to happen. Be straight out of the February 1917 playbook.
Lol according to a broke uncle Putin
Russia havent lost anything
I remember it well.
And still hasn't found any Ukrainian Nazis government members.
Especially when its Ukrainian grain he is talking about, and Putin has absolutely no right's whatsoever to this grain, in fact if anyone is thieving, its him.
Zelenskyy was not joking when he told them to run
Ukrainian artillery and missile troops conducted strikes at 7 command points and 13 gatherings of Russian forces, hits at radars and communication stations, bridges and pontoons, 3 ammunition depots and fuel depots, - General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine says in the morning report
Seems the Russians are surrounded near Balakleya but the reserves have arrived for Russia and are attacking Ukraine from behind.
Completely different scenarios....when the Afghans defeated the Russians, and defeat them they did. they were united against a common enemy, but their bravery was beyond question. 2nd time round, the Afghans did not defeat the US. Afghanistan was defeated by Afghans. Different clans, ethnic differences, historic enemies, and of course the whole pot being stirred by "interested parties" their next door Neighbour's, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia etc.
Seems not everything is going to plan depending on the location they are fighting.
.
Paints a grim picture alright.
The Frontline is nearly 1300km long?
Definitely going to be flows and ebbs along that. Russia will may make some small gains but whether they can hold and resupply them is a different story.
Also are reports that Russian reinforcements are now engaged in battle. Could help the orcs hold the line.
Even Ukrainian top brass are now highlighting the danger of an injured Russia resorting to tactical nukes.
Also stating they acknowledge striking airbases in Crimea but also expect war to drag on into 2023.
160 + km not sure where 1300 came from unless it's a typo on 130 km,
I was following one of the foreign legion groups, they went from a group of 40 odd soldiers to 3 in a few days ,they lost 5 lads when a orc tank fired directly into the bunker they just took.
The orcs can still be dangerous if they aren't engaged with all of the tools available rather than one of two tools along with 30/40 men and women
