didnt know sean is back on irish soil. thought he was still in the mlr
could still be in MLR. sides in that wont be in pre season for good while yet. new season doesnt start until february with pre season bit before christmas
We have certainly gone fairly wild on the signing of the players. Honestly not sure how I totally feel on it, like the good feeling in the club at the moment is great and if lads aren't playing 1s, they are playing down and then is making every side stronger.
Still a good few Nure lads in the 1s but less obviously.Just looking forward to getting to games.
John O'Connor - I have no idea who he is.

round3 of Ulster premiership this weekend
Armagh, Ballynahinch leading division 1 with Rainey and Dungannon undefeated in division 2 after 2 rounds
Sligo are in Pole position to win the Connacht Senior League, 2 rounds left and a bye this week but 6 points ahead of Galwegians and 7 ahead of Buccs who they play in the last week. Galwegians have a bye the last week so they cant win it. Buccs would need to beat Corinthians and Sligo to win it. The winner I believe gets into the Bateman Cup.
IRFU have also confirmed that video highlights will again be produced for the coming season with every game to be featured both the Men’s Division 1A and Women’s Division and select games also available from the lower men’s divisions
Bohs conceded to Young Munster. Cookies through to next round where they'll play winners of Clonmel and the well

Sean O'Brien refused permission by the IRFU to line out for Tullow RFC. Apparently ex pros need permission to play Junior Rugby.
Good decision. I wonder if SOB would line out at AIL level for some other team given that he apparently isn't quiet finished.
Nothing to do with the IRFU. It's a Leinster Branch decision.
2022/2023 Leinster Branch Competition Regulations - Regulation 5.7

All players who have played international (including 7’s), provincial, or professional rugby in any jurisdiction for the Senior full team, in the current or last 2 preceding seasons shall be ineligible to participate in any Competitions.
This regulation does not apply to Academy contracted players who can play Under 20’s, Metro League Div 1, 2 or for any first team of a Junior Club.
An application shall be made for exceptions to the above regulations. Notice in writing applying for such consent must be given to the DFA setting out the fullest possible information regarding the player in question. If consent is granted the Committee may restrict the level at which the player is allowed to play.
Its also to do with the time difference between when they retired from pro rugby and wish to play junior rugby. He only retired from pro rugby last season. Doubt he will play AIL. Its his home club he wants to play for, something id love to see a few more pros do
A culture of retired pros putting a year or two for their club would be great for the AIL and club rugby in general. Build a bit of buzz. Maybe draw some money too.
While I do agree that he appears to want to play for his home club perhaps he just wants to play at a lower standard. UCD may be a home away from home for him given that he was registered there for most of his Leinster career.
Could also assist in getting some people who follow provinces but raarely if ever go to club games become more regular club supporters
